Came to your channel after seeing your design on DeadBedSpread's channel! I really like your starter design and your art has improved a lot, both from your first go at this starter and your more recent art. For Froliage and its evos, I feel like your concept and design is really great, but the color palette could be a bit better. I feel like the colors aren't really cohesive, since most starters use a color palette of three different colors (with a tiny bit of variance). I found the shiny version much more appealing even though it strays away from the real world inspiration because the colors worked together better. The lily on the lily pad on Deputree and Frogue threw me off a bit, especially since it also doesn't seem congruent with the idea of this Pokemon being a fighting type. There are much darker water lily colors, including dark red and purple, that might fit! I also think shifting the color palette darker as Froliage evolves could be useful, especially to mimic plant growth. Otherwise, great video and I'm excited to watch more from your region!

Of course Bulbasaur doesn't count, it's a toad, not a frog. :P I love this little guy you've made. I think this is my pick of your starters.

These designs are awesome! During the Frogue speedpaint I honestly got some kappa vibes from the design (which I loved)

These mons have great execution, but I think they fall behind on their concept due to stepping on other pokemon's toes, the similarities with greninja make it hard to shine on its own, and I think that if it went with the idea of becoming a sheriff, it would have a way more unique vibe. Also the second evolution kind of ditches the gimmick of its startling red eyes, just for it to come back in the third form, just something to keep in mind. Loved the designs tho, and I'm looking forward for more content from this region

I actually love the designs of the starters, but I have a problem with the region itself. Basing a single region on not just South America, but Central America as well seems like a bad idea, it is just too big of a place to begin with, and has cultures so different from place to place. For exaple, Chileans are incredibly different from Venezuelans and those two are very different to Brazilians, snd that without mentioning all the native groups. It is true, there are some things that Latin America can share as the same, like the experience of being colonized by Europeans, or the coups that happened arround 70s and 80s, but still is too expansive to be just one single region. In comparison, look at Japan: is quite tiny, but has 4 regions based on it; the only regions that are whole countries (not continents) are France and England, that are both really small and with a strong unifying culture.

I just don’t want to be too limited in the designs of my fakemon. I want to base my region on an area to be true to gamefreak’s way of doing things, but just doing a country like chile leaves out a lot of concepts that I might like to explore in the other areas. I think that I can do the whole continent justice nevertheless, but honestly it’s just what makes the project the most fun for me. That’s the most important thing at the end of the day.

@@ReomaArt I get that, but if you see what GameFreak actually does, it is not just a translation from real world region to pokemon region. For example, Johto had elephants and giraffs despite being based on Japan, Alola had koalas and toucans, Hoenn had moais (the statues from Easter Island), camels and mexican ispired lottus, and their legendaries are based on judeo-christian mythology. I get where are you coming from, and from your avatar I'm guessing you are not white, which makes it less offensive, but as a latino myself is tiring to be homogenized as an abstract "south american" when my identity is hardly respected by the media. Is errasing my culture and the one from many other people from those regions. I don't belive any malice intentionwas put in here, but it was something I felt I had to point out.
