In this video tutorial I will show you how to Create a Dramatic Movie Poster Design in Photoshop using free assets so you can easily follow along. Throughout the lesson you will learn some very useful blending and compositing tricks to create a rainy glass effect that can be used in a variety of ways. We will also be using various adjustment layers and color correction techniques before I share a few finishing touches that will help give the poster that extra bit of polish to help it stand out.
Also commonly referred to as key art, movie poster design is one of my absolute favorite things to design inside of Photoshop. Not only is photo compositing and key art design for television and film an extremely exciting creative field, but it’s one that I have been working in for over 15 years.
Follow along with this lesson and I will show you some of the tricks and techniques I use anytime I am creating cinematic artwork for clients ranging from SYFY, Showtime, and Nickelodeon to Oxygen, Lifetime, and A&E.
