creamy deli style PASTA SALAD you'll actually want to eat
Ойын-сауық
I used to hate pasta salad until I had the one at my first job as a dishwasher. So today I'll show you how to make the best creamy deli style pasta salad that I ever had and one you'll actually want to eat. This pasta salad is creamy, bright and acidic and full of fresh vegetables, but not too much mayo. The perfect cold pasta recipe for these hot summer days or for any summer cookout.

I'm watching your videos to find sandwich& pasta ideas to prepare for my mom to take with her to work. She's a nurse and works a lot, so a lot of times she's too tired to prepare something to eat on her break. So I decided to do it for her and she loves everything I made her so far, next recipes on my list are the fried eggplant sandwich, this cold pasta and the fried zucchini pasta. I'll let you know how she likes them.

May I offer a suggestion? I speak from experience of working as a unit secretary in the county hospital with the nursing and physician staff. I used to go down to the cafeteria for lunch (when I had time for lunch) It took me awhile to figure out that high carb lunch is what lead to me totally running out of steam around 3pm. I was literally so tired I would feel like I was falling asleep at the desk, and would then have to down a bunch of coffee to get me to the end of the work day. I eventually figured out that "carb coma" didn't happen when I had something without a lot of bread or pasta: (soup and salad etc....).

So true.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE that the dressing isn’t forming a pool under. It’s consistent, creamy, yet it doesn’t seem to be overpowering. Thank you for this because everyone else whose channels I’ve seen regarding cold pasta salad seem to put too much dressing and yours was just the right amount. With that you’ve won me over, I’m officially subscribed.

Yes totally agree, other comments were saying ‘too much Mayo’ but it was dressed perfectly for the volume of ingredients

@Hamburgler6.9

It's not unseasoned tho. If you boil it with a proper amount of salt then, yeah, it's amazing, but try boiling it with no salt (unseasoned)..you will not enjoy. And if you do...well..

@@Hamburgler6.9 properly cooked pasta is cooked in salted water and it's not for the purpose of seasoning the pasta. Salt, in the right amount increases the boiling point of water which is the actual purpose. It cooks too slow and gets too soft before it's al dente without salt. I think that's why he's saying unseasoned, he stipulated "cooked right"

You know it's a good day when "Not Another Cooking Show" uploads a new video and run right over to watch! This pasta salad absolutely delicious, perfect for summer, Yum! 🤤
im more of pasta traditionalist like you, but lately ive been making macaroni salad just like this. goes great with a lot of meals or on its own. i really like adding one jalapeno, some chopped pickle, and a bit of the pickle juice. killer every time! cheers
Just finished making this right now and it already tastes pretty great; it's chilling in the fridge for a couple hours and I can't wait. Thanks for the video!
Love the way you connected it with pesto, one of the fathers of modern Italian cuisine served pesto with cold pasta, also not washing the pasta with cold water makes for much better taste ❤️ also the mayo reference at the end ❤️❤️❤️
I made this for our thanksgiving dinner. Everyone loved it! My cousin even said “I normally don’t like this kinda of salad, its so good.” :) Thank you for sharing your recipe.
I like the vinegar and onion technique, going to make this weekend. Thanks ✌️
not only does this seems like an awesome recipe, but the way you describe why everything ends up the way it is in this salad is absolutely perfect and by that, you know it is going to be delicious.

Someone teach Steve about the word "quarter". I'm smirking everytime he says half and half again 🤣. Love you like you love pasta salad Steve!
this looks like a pasta salad that they make at my favorite diner out on long island. they put a bowl out on the table as an appetizer. definitely making this.
Gonna give this a shot this weekend with the addition of some whole grain mustard and some mayo from scratch with a bit of lemon.
This is how I make pasta salad. :) The only difference is I pepper mine with halved cherry tomatoes and black olives. YUM.

This recipe was a hit! It is easy other than the time cutting the veggies. It was so good that my dad brought some to his coworkers and my 12 year old brother liked it.
I really like the new format. Looking forward to trying my first homemade pasta salad ever soon!
I am proud to say I just made this with all the vegetables from my garden (except for the celery , that was store bought) And I must say it was hands down the best pasta salad I ever made!! Thank you !!!

Great recipe; I’ll be making that tomorrow. Grazie 👍🏽
Hey, it would be extremely cool to see you make a pesto using the basil from your garden and see how fresh and better it can be.
I like to start with the dressing and then toss the veg into it so they pickle a bit while i make the pasta and let it cool. Also helps with the onion acidity trick you talk about in the video.

Always delivering great recipes man. This one is a winner with the 'creamy, acidic, slightly sweet, balanced overall, textural crunch, pasta's cooked properly' !
Your comment about eating a whole bowl plain. I felt that. I thought I was the only one. I will crush a pound of plain al dente pasta in one sitting. Easy.
This is the definition of perfection.
This is how we make it minus the carrot and spring onions, need to give this a try...Melbourne’s in hard winter though so I’ll need to wait for the summer

I’ve been looking for a pasta salad recipe!! Perfect for this weekend
This looks great and I'm not even a pasta salad kinda guy. Totally agree on the mayo use. Proper amounts make all the difference. I didn't like it as a kid either.
i made this today at my office and everyone liked it! i usually make almost nothing with mayo, butter or high fat ingredients, but that mayo-to-salad ratio was perfect! i guess it's more like 1 cup in the video than 1 1/2 cups of mayo. delicious!
Beautiful love it. I always make this with almost all the ingredients you added but I add a little mustard as well. Never added the peppers but will now. Thx ..Love this
Made this and it was delicious!! I will definitely make again!!! (Chopped veggies night before to save time.) Thank you for another great recipe! Great tip about the pasta cook time.
I eat pasta by itself also when I was a little girl. I do the same recipe except I add hard boiled eggs, olives & sometimes raisins. I am with you on the mayo.
Easily one of my favorite recipes. I sometimes make this and put unseasoned cooked chicken in it, too.
Made this today and it really is the best ever!!! Thank you for the recipe 😍
Easily one of my favorite cooking shows.
I made this and let me tell you what, it was the best pasta salad I could imagine I would even next time put more veggies because oh my god it was off the chain. Lasted a couple of days which I’m thankful for and everyone in the family enjoyed it. Always trying to get all the ingredients in the same place to make it again. Thanks for sharing!
Tried this and added Japanese cucumbers too. Used agave nectar to replace sugar as sweetener. So good! Thank you for the recipe!

Just made this and its excellent. I only had seasoned Chinese vinegar but it still worked. I've been trying to get away from meat dishes more and this is the kind of dish that makes me not miss it. Also noticed I did not need to add much salt to it so that's a major bonus too.
man ive been trying to find a good recipe for this for ages and was trying something similiar to this but this is better thanks dude
Just made this today and it turned out great! Thanks for the quick easy recipe
Was so excited for this recipe! Definitely did not disappoint! ❤️
I’d make this with an Italian style dressing instead but if someone else made this and offered it I would try it.
I use a similar recipe, but I blanch the veggies as well. After leaving the salad in the fridge over night the veggies also get a little pickle. Both combined give a nice texture
Just made this but added some other veggies and it was amazing 👏 thanks for the recipe!

Did it today because I had nearly all the ingredients. I've put corn in it as well as some cut up hard boiled eggs. Good recipe!
I've made this several times over the last year. Very good recipe, best I've ever had.
Steve, not 5 hours ago I just planned a picnic with a co-worker. I said, I want to make pasta salad. And here you come, like some beautiful genie, and grant me this delicious pasta recipe. 🙏🏽
This is such a great pasta salad and beautiful and it's delicious. My husband asked when he could have some and I laughed and said, "it has to go in the fridge for two hours." He came back in two hours, and he loves it too.
