CRC Smart Washer Repair | BIG THANKS

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

We have been using a smart washer for a long time now. Recently, our washer pump failed. In an effort to replace the pump, we contacted CRC, the new owners of Smart Washer. They were very helpful in getting our parts washer up and running again.

Thanks for sharing this. Recently my pump just took a dive. And now my heater isn't working as well. My box is still intact, but I need a schematic that shows how the their electronic controller works within the box. I've got the schematic thats on the inside of the box panel, but it doesn't explain how their controller works and what the logic is of the inputs and outputs. I've got a call into CRC, hopefully they'll be as receptive to me as they were to you.

I doubt they will disclose the logic as that is going to proprietary information. But good luck Kurt

Always great when manufacturers down behind their products. Would you mind sharing with us what solvent to use in the tank? Also the other cleaning solutions that you frequently use when cleaning up Porsche engines?

We use the SW-4 cleaning solution in the machine. This is our primary parts washing solution. When I clean parts it is rarely just one step. The usual progression is into the parts washer, then into the vapor blast machine, followed by the ceramic polisher and finally a clean water rinse. Kurt

Hi Kurt, thanks for sharing your experience. I'm a huge fan of your channel and I'm closely watching your 2.7Engine Rebuild and CIS. I'm in the process of cleaning my engine and components; as you know they are a lot of magnesium parts and there are tons of contradictions on what kind of degreaser/cleaners you can use on those engines. Would you mind sharing if you use the SW-4 for cleaning magnesium parts too? Do you vapor blast the parts with glass media or soda? Which media you use for tumbling aluminum parts (i.e. Intake Runners) ? Thanks a lot!

I use the SW-4 solvent; however, if you leave magnesium in it for too long, it will blacken the part. So you have to be careful. I vapor blast using a glass/aluminum oxide mix that we make in-house. Finally, I use a smooth polishing ceramic and a light soap in our polisher. Kurt
