For some people those techniques unfortunately include denial and conflict-avoidance. If someone is living with a toxic person over an extended period of time they will likely be a little worn out in their moral fibers. They might also be financially locked to the toxic person, so that a breakup could hurt them in significant ways. But if it was I worry about OP taking Kyle’s virtues for granted… as perfect of a partner as he seems, she needs to remember he’s also human.
