Crab fisherman are a unique breed of dudes. I was a lobster fisherman in New Brunswick Canada. I've seen many many full traps. Best job I ever had.

There is no "I THOUGHT"... I'm part Scandinavian. My Great Grandad came from Denmark. And instilled an Ethic. This Ethic is real. It is real in the Commercial Fishing Industry. One of my Friend's was a Commercial Fisherman, out of Seattle. His Boat's name was "Celtic". A Waterford Man, worked on the same Ethic from past Fishing Generations. If you are a Greenhorn, you have to embrace and live these Values. Other's lives depend on it. You all depend on each other for you're lives, because The Bering Sea does not care about you're life.

Turlock Elliott he's probably one of the best captains out there he'll make it very far in the industry

You have to remember that it's that money that takes care of his family's expenses. Food, housing, clothing, etc cost money. Sig comes from an era where men took care of the family by working a hard job and living a stressful life. Comparing him to today's modern men is like comparing apples to oranges.
