A quick note on a couple of things that seem to be tripping people up (slight spoilers below): ---------- 1) Yes, Thran Dynamo had a fate counter on it when the Oblivion Stone was activated. However, Vandalblast was still on the stack so it got destroyed by that. Admittedly, we could have done a better job explaining this interaction. Apologies. 2) Ixidron says "AS" it enters the battlefield. Therefore, it does not flip other creatures that enter at the same time as it does. Also, it only flips "nontoken" creatures. So there were no Ixidron misplays in this episode (unless you count Jimmy attacking me with it as a misplay...which I do) Hopefully this clears some things up. -JLK

Skyler N, that's not how apnap works here. It's Gabby's turn, thus she's active player, then the non active player's triggers go on the stack in turn order. So the stack looks like this: 1) Jimmy's Hulk 2) Jimmy's Hulk 3) Kenji's Hulk Resolving that stack, Kenji searches and his creatures ETB first. Jimmy played it correctly.

405.3: If an effect puts two or more objects on the stack at the same time, those controlled by the active player are put on lowest, followed by each other player's objects in APNAP order (see rule 101.4). If a player controls more than one of these objects, that player chooses their relative order on the stack.

Samantha Warren I too like these videos, one important thing I have learned from these is in commander don’t be the first to pull of a big flashy thing cause then it turns I to archenemy with you as the target. Instead after a person pulls of their big flashy thing fly just under the radar and when everyone is preoccupied with the first one you can strike from behind.

Great episode. Got a little exited about masters 25 commanders until it was revealed there will be no Stangg and his twin. Maybe some day I'll see two headed giant commander game with one side having both players playing Stangg. Stangg facts that you may not know but should: -Stanggs rating in gatherer is 3 stars but his twin is also worth 3 stars so this makes Stangg only 6 stars commander in the game. -Mark Poole created Balance but he later also made Stangg. Wizards then needed Pooles help to Restore Balance. -Mark Poole also created Fear by giving us a card with lots of skulls in it. Where many other creatures have obtained this ability later on, Stangg wears those terrifying skulls as decoration in his armor. -Card Phantasmal Forces shows beings from dream realm to embody Stangg and his twins as in dream realm they know Stangg is embodiment of true heroism. -"Only in mirror Stangg finds his equal"-Mirror Gallery -Gruul signet is carved in statue of Stangg. We only got to know this after about 24 years when Stangg finally took off his helmet -Feldon of the Third Path has typo in his flavor text: letter S -Even nature itself wanted to follow in Stanggs footsteps. So Kalonian Twingrove was born

This was a really amazing episode. It is because of you guys I was able to get back into Magic. I was introduce to it when I was serving in the Air Force and I got into my first league when I was Afghanistan. When I came back to the states, I started to compete in the Standard format. I didn't enjoy Standard too much and felt like I couldn't have fun because people told me Magic isn't suppose to be fun. But you guys showed me it can be fun and I actually enjoy the Commander format more. Once again, thank you and I hope you the best success in the future.

Rashmi says that the spell off the top has to be lower cmc than the spell cast, but she cast repeal, which is cmc 1 and played wall of roots, a cmc 2 spell, with Rashmi. I have played magic for years, and i literally just now had to look up why that works. I had no idea that when a spell is on the stack it can have a different cmc than it otherwise does. Heck i didn't even know you could reduce x costs, because for whatever reason, since i knew they weren't part of cmc normally (since they are 0) i considered them to be additional costs rather than part of the "cost of the spell" as it were. Boy am i glad i looked that up. Excellent game guys.

Jackson Wald That is nothing. My commander is Varolz the Scar Striped. I run things like Guttergrime and Death's Presence, and low cmc creatures with high powers. I love when people wipe my board. I once had a turn where someone who was playing the wizard tribal deck from last year played kindred dominance 3 times in a single turn. I ended that turn with 6 tokens creatures at 40/40+.

one time I was playing against an arcum dagsson combo deck (I was piloting olivia voldaren vampire tribal), his deck was built around cheating out mycosynth lattice, darksteel forge and nevinyrral's disk in three turns to lock everybody else out of the game. he had everything out, waiting to untap disk and nobody had any answers. Then my turn comes up and I draw chaos warp (the only card in my deck than do anything to his combo) I wait until his turn, let him untap disk and activate it and I warp his forge in response. we weren't locked out, and he never cast arcum again :3

i actually made the arcum dagsson deck 4 years ago, my first homebrew after converting it over from colorless karn to blue artificers, and yes that combo is the cheapest way to make the table hate you. i actually took nev disk out....i dont like it for the simple reason that edh is meant to be savored. winning this way didnt bring me satisfaction after awhile, i felt dead inside. however the nev disk/forge/lattice combo is nice occasionally if you need to stomp out other more annoying decks like weenie rush or some kind of apostle demon tutors.

Hard cast Decree of annihilation, so had a similar board to Josh where I played a bunch of cards( flashing them in) and have decree at the very top of the stack. It removes the board but all my spells resolve right after. Putting into play mogus god of the slaughter (my commander) and Ward of Bones( players can't play lands, artifacts, enchantments, or creatures more than me) locking the board and having people die to the mogus upkeep damage. Of course, the cycle version will achieve a similar state, had a lot of rocks out and mana reduction artifacts. Ward of Bones, so good after any board reset.

He started his infinite combo to kill everyone (eldrazi Titans and exanguinate, plus Gitrog for infinite Mana) in response to his casting I topped. Put a dissipate on top, he didn't pay for the study. I drew dissipate and countered his exanguinate so he couldn't kill everyone.
