Craters of the Moon National Monument | This Looks Like A Scene from Another Planet

Craters of the Moon National Monument is one of the USA’s most unique landscapes. In fact, it’s one of the most unique landscapes on the planet. There are only 2 other places on earth that have similar landscapes: Hawaii and Iceland. This volcanic site is home to caves, dormant volcanic hills, and more! It’s an impressive to site to behold and well worth the long drive through Idaho to get there.

Craters of the moon is the most unique place I've ever camped. There was a ring of volcanic rocks all around our site, so it was like we were alone on the moon. This was over 45 years ago, but when I remember that 21 day car trip out to the pacific northwest, it's always one of the things that comes to mindl

High desert Idaho and Wyoming are super windy. That's why you see all those windmills going along the 80. Another sweet video and oh that Kramer getting so excited when mom n dad get home. What a welcome committee!

I’m really digging the new intro, if I didn’t mention it already - changing it around with “smelling colors”, Chris’s head popping out…it adds something! Also - 15 years?!? Sometimes I can’t remember what I wore yesterday! I’m glad your visit was relatively recent! 🤣

With no national park in Idaho there must be some amazing land purchase opportunities. Those craters of the moon lava fields are stunning. We absolutely love rocks, seriously we do, every kind. Piano score fit perfect. Fun share guys. Stay safe:) James and Kim ❤

I usually am scared of being trapped. But the mammoth cave national park was fun to visit this year. It was like a class trip when you do the different cave tours there. It's worth it.

I like the park! It’s different! I’m claustrophobic so not so sure about the caves. I want to visit all the NPs. Wonder if I’ll be able to go in Mammoth one day. I’m getting nervous just thinking about it. lol Got stuck in an elevator once & haven’t been the same since. Got stuck in a bathroom recently because the lock was broken. Forget scuba diving! I can barely go snorkeling! MRIs are out of the question! My doctor asked me if I was claustrophobic. I confidently said “Not at all”. That’s when I discovered I’m very claustrophobic! I’ll just have to die before I get another MRI! 😆

😂Oh no!! That story made me laugh but I can also 100% sympathize! I hate the feeling of being trapped. This place is still worth a visit even if you don't go inside the caves. :)
