Chris and Sara

Chris and Sara

Hey y'all! We're Chris and Sara, a husband and wife duo from Chattanooga, Tennessee. In 2018 we began our 4 year adventure traveling to all 50 states in our DIY Sprinter van with the end goal of traveling more internationally. We're just two hardworking, self-employed individuals who (currently) make videos from the fun of it while working our full time jobs.

Our KZread channel is dedicated to capturing the memories of our travels while also sharing stories of the people and places we meet along the way. No clickbait, no bikini thumbnails, no racing to check countries off on a checklist, just authentic storytelling (usually involving travel).

If you like what we're about, maybe hit subscribe here on KZread and follow along on Instagram for more daily fun! Oh, and be sure to say hi while you're here. :)

Not from Chicago itself but from the suburbs. I'll always recommend going to Harold's Chicken. They all do in house lemon pepper which varies by location and are one of few places to have mild sauce (more BBQ hot sauce). Personal recommendation is the one near McCormick place. Also check out the Italian village. Great Italian food and the coffee is brewed by someone who actually enjoys coffee to its fullest. Even if you don't normally do it like that at least try their black coffee while you're there

Do you need any kind of permit to just fly for fun? I have no “ intent”. I have a registered DJI drone I purchased a few years ago.

The flag pole issue as mentioned. There was a sort of competition between north and south Korea. What ended up happening to stop the tit-for-tat was there was an agreement that North Korea could have the tallest pole but South Korea got a larger flag. I believe that pattern is even true in the building in the DMZ where both north and south meet north Koreas flag on the table is slightly taller and South Korea is a bit larger. Spent 13 months there in the mid 80s, it appears to have changed alot since I was there. Go 2nd ID

Hearing you guys speak about being digital nomads was very inspiring for us. We are new to our travel journey and trying very hard to make it our full time gig. Thank you for that! I didn’t even know I needed to hear that today 😊

Thanks for explaining this too us all. Something I see with US youtubers and European youtubers is that they all fly a drone in Canada. The fact is the FAA does not allow any Non Resident to fly a drone anywhere In Canada. There is the ability too fly a drone Under 250 gms as a non resident because they at present are considered a toy. Hope this helps keep everyone legal. CHEERS

I am curious as to your thoughts on safety, specifically in Mexico, since those 3 surfers were killed at Baja. My thoughts, there are bad people, bad cities everywhere, but are Americans a target in Mexico? By the way, I really enjoyed the John Mark McMillan song, looked it up!

I visited Florida once. In one of the parks, one of the guides pointed at the sky and said "to you Brits out there, that... is the SUN! IT BURNS! Wear sunscreen". I don't know where in the US you're from - prob not FL - but... the Sun BURNS, wear sunscreen! ;)

I was in LA and hoping to see a Vlog about it at one point. I even asked why didn’t you consider southern California when looking for a home. I moved my families up to Seattle a couple years ago, and now knowing a Vlog is coming. I am so excited about that. Thanks for sharing. Some of the beautiful footage have affirmed my beliefs of the values of travel: creat lifelong memories. Cheers.

Hi, I am wondering if Kramer is an 'emotional support pet' and if so, can he travel in the cabin without being caged? Is there an 'online' agency you used to get him certified for this that you recommend? Thanks!

Take Trasportes Maritimo California ferry. Cheaper and you ride in your vehicle with your pet. It’s used mostly by truckers so the facilities aren’t glamorous. TMC offers hot showers meals and a lounge but no cabin. We rode the overnight ferry from Topolobampo to La Paz a little shorter than the 18 hour grind from Mazatlan .

@@conchscooter Thanks so much for your answer. But we are doing research for a possible bigger trip with our dogs (yes plural - lol!). In case we want to go to South America, wanted to look into air-travel with a dog in that neck of the woods.

No A/C in your vehicle? I've been there and would always keep a igloo cooler with ice, wet wash cloths in zip lock bags, a water filled spray bottle and bottles of water in that cooler, it helps! Stay cool y'all
