A lot went into this miniature diorama... Kitbashing junk, XPS sculpting, plaster, 3D designed parts for the resin 3d printer, sculpting, scratch building, epoxy resin art, lava effect painting, OSL.... wow....
I'll probably make another or something, post ideas in the comments.

I'm a "dwarf person" and really appreciate this amazingly creative build-thanks for sharing it!
5:55 Happy little stoneworks.
Dwarven science is the best in the world!
Oh, the Geberit Komplettset für Umrüstung Spülkasten-Umbauset. Good choice, Mann! 🍺🥨
Love all your 10mm content lately, it's gotten me really inspired to explore that scale for dnd.
Looks great Knarb.... trust HIM to send that.

Some lava in the buckets of the lava wheel is about the only way you could take this any further
You should combine all of the dwarven dioramas you have.
Wow this looks so cool! Very nice work.
Looks great! Subbed in a heartbeat!
Nicely done!
That lava looked great Knarb! I really need to get around to doing my resin pour project. Your videos are looking better and better!

Thanks Nick. Do a smaller test project first, easy to mess up a whole board with it, haha.

This is a great diorama and a solid use of the toilet parts. I love this forge scene. good job.
I felt comfort in seeing others working messy and chaotic aswell during the process, but like Details. All the chaotic impulsive ideas. Had to laugh at the airbrushing tiny and light bits around. Looks like me :D Nice Build and Series!
"It's from a toilet, Knarb!!" aaaaand subbed.
Fantastic!! 🙂
Epic indeed. I'm glad we got to be...privy to this. :-D

The atmosphere of this piece is crazy good!
YEAAAAH ROCK N STONE BROTHERS!!!
Good job this diorama just seems to radiate heat, you did an amazing job on it
Awesome build. Love the idea of building a diorama that fits in a cubic foot, and painting in the contrasting warm/cool hues really sold the scale and richness of color. Awesome.
This is TOTALLY AMAZING! I love all the little Dwarves! Kind of small for my EYES! BUT THIS BUILD! EPIC KM!! SAVED IT!
You're inspiring, this is amazing!
NOW THIS IS ROCK AND STONE LADS
this is awesome, crackle paint would've made the lava look great, especially if it was the black one to give it that glowing through a surface film type of look
I love it!
Superb piece full of life, love the mix of foam and 3D printed details 👍
You know, D&D really should be 10mm, because that looks fantastic as an encounter area AND as an art piece.

10mm or 12mm would also make for more figures on the table. Cheaper for a DM to put together a tribe of Orcs too for example. Typical reasons why wargamers like it. Downside is individuals are less distinguishable (not such a serious issue for an army with uniform uniforms anyway) and most fantasy figures are in 25mm-28mm (not such an issue if you're 3d printing everything). One interesting benefit is that "smallish" dragons end up being twice the size in comparison which is nice. I'm actually all for it.
Amazing, my dear.

From toilet to treasure. Nicely done, Knarb
Nice build, though i think the colors could be a bit more vibrant, also experiment with some transparent parts for the liquids leaving the pipes etc.
Really cool. Wonderful composition and so much vibes
Really nice build. Love the paint job.
Creative and stunning job, love the lava and the lights...
wow, such a great idea for a 1ftx1ftx1ft display! So easy to take a few scenes to have an epic encounter
Absolutely stunning work!
Awesome job. Knarb keeps raising the bar
Here at the recommendation of Studson! I always appreciate finding more creators who make dioramas and models, especially fantasy-based ones!
I think it would be really cool to try and actually GET bubbles in this resin, it would really add to the lace feel I think
It would be really cool if you added some glowing crystals/ore into it to give it some color
Extraordinary and magnificent!
i only have one tiny little problem with the entire thing, only bronze weapons or armor can be cast in molds like that. harder metals get brittle if cast the harder the metal the more it becomes like glass xD so id imagine dwarven metals to shatter like crystal glass if dropped on the ground if someone had cast it in a mold. Otherwise fantastic work it looks amazing
Definitely a cool build. Great work as always.
Fantastic piece!
Very clever!
Love the video, man. You can have a perfect resin pour, great textures and amazing paint scheme but if your composition sucks then it ruins the piece. But you have a great eye for composition. Everything just fits perfectly.
Fantastic build.
Very well done!
This is a nice, relaxing video; and the diorama is full of flavour.
Wow, I love it!
Fantastic !
Gotta love friends who are just as crazy as us, to the point where they'll air-mail parts of a German toilet's water reservoir halfway across the world to lend a helping hand! 🤣
Great build!
Hahaha, the moment you unpacked the "thing" I recognized it - too often had I to fix something not working with it 😅 And your build is absolutely insane amazing! 🔥🔥🔥🔥

I gave this a like before I even viewed because its Dwarfs and Dwarfs be cool 😁😁. Awesome job knarb wish I could like twice
Epic
Unless that guys cistern has ever been victim to a "Double Decker" attack then that flusher device should be to totally sanitary as cisterns only have clean drinkable water pass through them.😅
Funny how the mind works when toilets are concerned. Out come the gloves even though the cistern holds clean water for flushing. In an emergency you can drink the water, just don't add any blocks of bleach 😜 Great build by the way

Just theatrics, I know the tank is clean, haha.
Very cool, not enough dwarf foundry dioramas around.
Siiiiickkkkkkk🔥🔥
very cool but idk if the transparent lava really makes much sense tbh
Epic!
Wowow! What an incredible build! So awesome to see someone else who designs their own models to print. It adds a lot of extra work but totally worth it to get exactly what you're looking for. What software do you use for your designs?
It's a pretty shocking thing to be excitedly opening a package and finding a part of a German toilet, USED part of a German toilet. I like that black tar soup! That was a very cool way of adding some flowing ripples and texture to the lava by using Mod Podge and the air from an airbrush! This came out really nice Knarb! Quick question: Did you notice if the resin pour seemed to get really hot while it was drying? Or were you able to cool it by turning off the heat in your workspace?
@KnarbMakes
2 жыл бұрын
Thanks T-Nu. This resin cures quite slowly, so I don't think it got very hot at all. The instructions say the optimal curing temp is around 20-25celsius, so I dont think I should be chilling it further.

@@KnarbMakes Excellent, good to know. I saw a tutorial where they were talking about how the heat generated can sometimes produce bubbles or get insanely hot. However, they were doing much deeper pours. Thanks for the info!

That looks awesome. Maybe something else you can do to make the lava more realistic Is dremel some waves in it especially around the edges of the resin. Check out minibricks if you haven’t done so they do that a lot. Great work

Great vid and project! Next time when you do a big led project could you also do a shot of it in the dark? It was really hard to see how the light effects looked in the video.

Fantastic! What foam did you use for your miniature?
Farkinell! 'Miniature dwarven foundry' - but it would be, wouldn't it?
What program did you use to design the cart, crane, boxes, etc.? Everything looks fantastic!
