Cruz joking about his Cancun controversy is a blatant insult to his constituents: the people who elected him to the public service position he's paid to hold. It not only shows a complete lack of remorse on his part, he's actively mocking the people he left to freeze without even pretending to acknowledge the hardship they had to go through. And at an event directed at people who are - in huge part - his base nontheless. If he's not voted out of office in the next election it will clearly show why he got elected in the first place: because the people who vote for him, like Cruz himself, either don't mind being mocked and insulted or don't have the balls to stand up to someone who does.

Sometimes, people mess up or change the “n” to an m intentionally. For example, some people change senpai to sempai, but most people don’t prefer that. Romanizing certain Japanese names can also be up to the individual. I’ve seen a student that was asked about their preference in regard to spelling their English name. Her name was Niko, but she preferred Nico. As you know, “ko” is the standard romaji. Still, she was going for a more western version for her name. He may have wanted to do something similar. I’m not sure. I’ll have to research this man’s history a bit more. I checked! It’s Genki! 🤣 However, he is known as Genki Fujii (藤井厳喜), alternatively spelled Gemki Fujii and also known as Noboru Fujii (藤井昇). Also, he is a conservative political commentator and comfort women denier.
