I don't understand how anyone could vote for Boebert after she killed her neighbors dog. Like the dog had been over to her house previously, so when the dog was lost she went to Boebert's house for comfort and BOEBERT SHOT THE DOG. She spewed some excuse about the dog hurting her goat, that was a lie. Grieving over an animal is tough, imagine someone KILLING your dog. Like wtf.

The trans candidate and mother made me tear up. I remember a conversation with my mom. I was talking about how transition feels so difficult because I see what looks like the entire world around me fearmongering about trans people's existence. She told me that at one point, those lies fooled her as well, but seeing me and some of my other friends transition allowed her to understand that we were just normal good people. If you're trans, you simply existing and being a good person is destroying the lies the bigots push. You may not know it, but you're making a positive impact on the people around you just by living an authentic life.

I live in Southern Indiana. Everyone that won in our election was Republican, except for my county sheriff who is a democrat. He won because he campaigned more than anyone else, and he ran on a platform of no longer policing marijuana. Everyone in town knew his name before the election. No one else on the ballot was known by more than a handful of people. Campaigning works.

no. gen z would have died before they could drive a car if they had been put in the same conditions we had. literally every single person i knew who wasnt born into a well off family is dead now because for some reason our work was so much less valuable than gen z standing around playing on their phones that we were deemed not valuable enough to deserve to be alive. im not being hyperbolic. most of us were literally killed through labor induced starvation. there's a 90% chance that if you are in the millennial generation alive today, you were born into a family that had enough money to feed you and buy all the stuff needed for you to be able to function in the high cost demand of being alive in america.

@@saturationstation1446 I'm sorry that you've lost people you know/love, but it's weird to talk down to a whole generation like that. Especially considering we millenials receive the same treatment from older generations. Gen Z do and will have to work hard just as he we have done and continue to do, under shit conditions. So why call them all a spoiled and lazy, phone-obsessed monolith, when that's what we've been called despite our efforts? There are struggling children and families in every generation. I do believe wealth disparity and its consequences are getting worse in most countries, and that's part of the shitty conditions gen z are facing as they age up into the working world - not to mention climate disasters they'll live to see. I think we should be able to grieve what our generation is being put through and still have empathy for those following us, bc most of the shit we're going through is a mud slide that's headed for them. If their voting numbers keep increasing, they could have a positive effect and diminish the slide's impact. Progress is accumulative, so we need generations to work together for the greater good of future generations.

3 years ago I moved to a pretty red part of Montana. Thus election, I was supremely demotivated and simply didn't want to vote, Because I was pretty certain that my vote would not matter in this part of the state. When election day came around, something popped up on my Internet that showed me that Montana was a same day registration state, So I bit the bullet, Registered, and voted. And, yeah, most of the votes didn't count, A lot of unopposed candidates. But there were 2 things on that ballot that got my attention. The 1st was a born alive bill, Which is a very sneaky way of instituting anti-abortion measures. The 2nd was between 2 judges who were unaffiliated with either party... But one was clearly for the Republican cause when I looked him up, the other was not. If I had not taken the time to actually go and vote I would have missed both of those ballot measures. The way my uncle talks about it youd think "oh poor guy got fucked" when in reality the guy cheated on his wife with her MINOR cousin. As he tells it his ex-wife is just trying to keep him from his daughters because she's vindictive. Almost everyone I have seen who has a huge problem with it are people who as are awful people, or young men who listen to their awful dads too much. There is so often when women walk away with nothing or cannot afford a lawyer because they sacrificed their career opportunities for a man who is worthless. An economics studen's take on the inflation: It's actually part of the most widely used economic crisis management playbook. The reason administrations force inflation by printing and increasing money supply is because doing so benefits the comodity offerents *_in the short term_* because they benefit from increasing prices (and therefore revenue) while they can take a period of time to decide if to increase wages to normalize the prior ratio of pay/cost of living for the worker. This gives a short term economic boost to all business, which is only done in terms of crisis to slow down country-wide economic downfall, because otherwise it causes more social damage than it creates by a high margin, compared to the overall social benefit of keeping business afloat in dire times at the cost of the consumer who has to pay higher prices for existing. That's why you see the inflation happening in literally every country during and after covid. This is just competent administration, and anyone who says otherwise did not do economics.
