CablePulse24 or CP24 for short was launched in 1998 by CHUM Limited as a complement to Citytv Toronto's news programming. The channel serves as a 24/7 news channel for the Greater Toronto Area. In 2006, CHUM was sold to CTVgm, and as a result of concentration of ownership rules, Citytv was sold to Rogers and CP24 was kept. As a result, CP24 started to slowly separate itself from Citytv and becoming more aligned with CTV. The transition was completed in 2009 when the last Citytv program, Breakfast Television, was dropped.
The clips are from 1998 and onward. Here's what you'll see in this compilation:

Today (March 30, 2023) marks the 25th anniversary of CP24's first broadcast
Photosensitive Canadians find the early intros a mess, but other Canadians don't.
You'd think CTV/Bell would've considered a rename at some point. TO24 would work.

Yes but the name is too iconic to change

Yes change the brand name that made them all their money. Great idea genius lol maybe Apple should rename its self to Strawberry lol
Hot Property and Home Page had really great intros, the drum n bass that was used, really made it memorable. Alot of that stuff had been used since the 2000s. AutoShop was memorable too for the jazz vibe they had. The first Perfect Fit, used a sample that some 80s/90s rappers had once used.

They changed the live at noon intro
That’s a lot of half hour originals especially for a 24 hour news channel, but since the CRTC repealed the genre protection rules they can do a sex advice show to pet calls heck they can simulcast a music concert

The genre protection rules were repealed in 2015, IIRC. Most of the talk shows here aired in the 2009s or early 2010s. I've looked at their license, and they allowed programming from: 1 (News); 2 (Analysis and interpretation); 3 (Reporting and actualities); 5(b) (Education - informal); and 6 (Sports). I'm guessing they could probably make the majority of their talk shows fall under 2 or 5b.
I feel like CP24 is boring these days despite still having CP24 breakfast
