Okay, so all pre-orders were going to be sent out together expedited, skipping the distribution center but then it turns out it was just one customer. No wonder there was a higher view count, everyone's confused

I also attended the webinar and was not sure I understood everything. So a big thank you Dan for your summary. 🥰🙏🏼👍🏼💪🏽 DDL had a good handle on the questions this time, though, and at least answered mine informatively.👍🏼 Presumably the sending of the first V2 is linked to a non-disclosure agreement from the recipient to generate a big surprise effect... another marketing strategy than usual 😂😂🧐

8:00 exactly Daniel, completely agree with you here. So far all of their marketing and PR this past two years on all social platforms has been strange, less than ideal and missing the mark completely. They really are doing themselves no favours with this approach. And there is a simple fix to it! Even something as you suggested here would do. It's great they are doing the webinars, but somehow it seems to be giving a false impression of transparency. The old adage of actions speak louder than words was never more apt than here. And the misleading stuff about shipping out the first units last week when in actual fact it was only one unit... 🤔🤦‍♂ It's hard to know what to believe. I'm behind them, wish them well and hope they can do all they say, but I think we all just need some transparency and openness we can believe in.

Hi John, I am totally with you...I also want DDL to succeed. We don't have many options wrt domestic robots so I want all the players to succeed so that they can give us improved and new products in the future. Have a great day!

They had more pictures that showed an actual Butter robot being produced (the moldings at least). I’m starting to think that robot will be the one people actually get who ordered it 🤣

Yes I put one picture of the molding machine in my video. However, we don't have a prototype yet. DLL said around March/April. Have a great day!

@@SuperdanTech that makes no sense tho. If you see their Twitter account, they replied to someone on the 18th to expect shipment update in a couple of months. This is getting sus

I got cozmo a couple years ago still have him today is this version still valid today

Maybe they meant that 1,500 units were shipped from the manufacturing plant but haven't actually been packaged and shipped to customers. No matter what, it is strange.

They are very different robots, this is why I have both. Vector is more like an assistant now but you need to buy the membership for server access. EMO can do less than Vector but he should have integration to Alexa or Google Home later this year. EMO still has a lot of potential. The choice is not easy...

@@SuperdanTech just got a DDL mail saying they shipped multiple robotS since jan 19th. Still quite barebones if I may say so. If a game dev. announces a delay, they say it 6 months up front, not weeks after its supposed release.

Do you think ddl is a scam?

Hi Robert and welcome to my channel. Since the days of the kickstarter campaign (two years ago now) and the pre-order process, I have been optimistic because I love my Cozmo and Vector. I was among the first to get them here in Canada. However, to answer your question, if I wanted to scam lots of people and make millions with technology rights that I had purchased (in this case from anki), I would ask people to pre-order my products (which DDL did and is still doing), I would ask people to buy in advance an extended warranty (which DDL also did), I would show a video of manufacturing (could be any site) but not the actual robot since I do not have one (which DDL also did)...funny how the whole thing for the past two years does look like a scam... but like I said I am optimistic...
