In early Jan the first 2 episodes got leaked and pictures and clips of episodes 3,4,5 also spread around the internet.

At this point, why doesn't WB just release the film already? This controversy has exponentially increased public awareness and buzz surrounding it, so they have no reason to think it won't do well now.

Zaslav is gonna turn WB Discovery into a friggin movie graveyard. So many movies that got made and were nearly done, only for them to end up as tax write offs. Then the Internet rose up to keep at least Coyote vs Acme... and Zaslav goes "nah" after a couple months of saying they would shop it around, and straight up never even saw the movie. This company makes me wanna scream, y'all.

Agreed man I feel like with how they treated the cartoons as well will honestly eventually bite them in the ass, by a long shot. I mean shit, indie animations showing even more that more people are kinda just sick of the treatment given by Warner bros and other companies to a lesser extent that treat animation as a joke, and to show them that, animations a medium, not a niche genre I kinda hope at this point that either WB falls down so quickly that it gets snatched by Disney like a hawk, or at least remove zaslav and have somebody who’d actually understand what to do

Yeah since this movie deserve to get leaked after being punishly cancelled by Warner Bros because the barbie movie had more box office success potential than the long awaited Looney Tunes movie that's basically kind of a spiritual successor to back in action

Bro. Deleting this film is one of the dumbest decisions they could’ve made. After canceling it, you would’ve probably had people going to the theaters just because of the fact it was almost canceled! They probably would’ve made more money now then it would have before! Completely erasing it now is absolutely ridiculous and is just hurting them honestly. And the fact that guy who canceled it didn’t even watch it just makes this worse.

like just release it to HBO Max some money has got to be better than no money. 30 million for a tax right off is like nothing. even if you released this film in theaters and put zero into marketing I'm sure it would still make more than 30 million. Looney Tunes back in action which is considered a bomb still did 68 million

Yeah that’s like taking a product you publicly declared a loss , so tell people you’ll put it on a the discount sale shelf . Then when somebody comes the check out with product you’re like “well actually we’re gonna change the price “

I was pretty much converted to Looney Tunes through the movie "Back in Action". So maybe that is the way your cousin should get converted too. Unless you want it to be "Space Jam". Or just do a marathon of classic Bugs Bunny shorts. Still though, it's bad that we are now having generations who don't know about certain things. For example, there was this interview with Finn Wolfhard and the kid next to him didn't know who One Direction was. This scares me.

@ryanstauffer119 it's weird... im just 26 but within 8 years of age gap... there's a whole bunch of kids who dunno alotta stuff I grew up with... it was shocking she didn't who bugs bunny was, always thought she knew who Bugs Bunny was but ffs... ppl used to call me Bugs Bunny, still do at times, cuz of my teeth... yet, there's someone in my family, just 8 yrs younger than me... who doesn't know the reason behind one of my nicknames... though to her defence, there hasn't been much looney tunes except for the forgettable & poorly marketed Space Jam sequel... at this point, I'm not sure how I would handle if some kid tells me they dunno who Spongebob is... 😳

I never thought that nobody would not know about this character. Literally there was a video that was posted recently of Googles most top searches in the last 25 years and SpongeBob is the number one cartoon that has been looked up. So that will be shocking if someone on this planet doesn't know who he is. I mean he's the reason why Nickelodeon is still on.

What really frustrates me, is that the movie is probably gonna be lost media now.

It just makes me so mad knowing that MADAME WEB, a movie absolutely no one wanted or asked for got released. And this getting cancelled😤😤

As someone who hates WB since 2018 I’m sad we won’t see this film but happy people are seeing WB for who they are.

It’s gonna be a major bummer if they choose to not release it

Was this movie produced under Zaslav’s leadership or the old regime? Because it’s absolutely baffling to me that a studio green lights a movie, produces it, fully completes it, and announces it, only for them to discard it as a tax write off because they “don’t believe in it??” If this was made under the old regime, maybe Zaslav saw the movie and thought it wasn’t up to WB’s desired quality, but still. Did the studio not see what they had on their hands during the actual production? Hell, why did they even green light the movie in the first place? Because now all this time, money, and effort has been completely wasted. And it’s even worse when you see all the talent behind this, especially James Gunn. This doesn’t even make business sense because money and effort was wasted and now WB looks bad. They looked bad when they canceled it, and look even worse when they refused to sell it. Chris has a good point, if they sell it and it’s a success (which I hope it is) WB is gonna look even dumber for letting it go.

Trust me, after seeing the amount of backlash right now. I think WBD will be pressured to release the film.

The actors and entire crew should be able to sue Warner Bros, like this is insane. I would say boycott but that’ll never work, people wouldn’t actually do it.

And to think that trying to save Coyote Vs ACME for good ended up being a waste of time, completely pointless, and/or was for nothing right now.

I’m still mad that they trashed Batgirl and Scoob! Holiday Haunt after they were finished too. Warner Bros, please bring those films, alongside Coyote VS Acme, back so we can watch them on the big screen. How can The Flash didn't just dropped in the 5$ Walmart bargain bin but Coyote vs Acme simply vanishes from existence

WB did this with Batgirl, Netflix did this with Mothership, AMC did this with their first animated series PANTHEON, and now this. This trend of scrapping in corporate Hollywood has been going on for too damn long!

Imagine if the director’s reaction to this is were he screams and has a mental breakdown and started destroying everything in his office including the props used in the now deleted movie and started throwing his desk at David zaslav causing David zaslav to have a broken left arm and a broken right leg and the director yelled: that’s it! I quit! And then leaves in anger and retires forever

They need to make a Animaniacs movie where Yakko, Wakko and Dot have to save WB and the animation industry from David Zaslav.

Warning I’m going to be pretty angry in this comment and also might curse but any really bad words will be censored with emojis so please be advised. 🤬 you WB and 🤬 you Zaslav I can’t believe such a beloved studio has sunken this low, this is truly a dark day for the Looney Tunes and WB as a whole as this has 100% shown that Zaslav and WB do not care about the Looney Tunes at all AT ALL. I started noticing the seeds of this even before Zaslav came in with Space Jam 2 absolutely destroying the characters with the main examples being Porky Pig rapping and Bugs Bunny “dying” in the end, but now I can’t believe I’m say this but with this, Bye Bye Bunny, and Looney Tunes Cartoons all being screwed over by Zaslav the Looney Tunes are dead… at least for now MAYBE The Day the Earth Blew Up will be a success but I highly doubt it unfortunately even if the movie is good. I now have a major grudge against WB now I’ve never felt this angry at a studio since Disney canceled Wander Over Yonder ending it on a cliffhanger in fact I think this is worse cause at least with Wander there’s still the possibility that it can return as Disney+ series or movie. if you saw my comment on Cris’ video first talking about this whole fiasco, I was talking about a project I’ve been working on but now I feel I have talk about what it is. It’s a Looney Tunes fan project that does a twist on one or two of the characters but also honors what made the Looney Tunes so beloved for almost an entire century, I was going to announce it next month but now with this news I’m fast tracking either an announcement video or teaser trailer to be released before the end of the month. I fully believe this movie was made with the intent of being canned. This is something they are becoming notorious for. First, it was Batgirl, then Scoob!: Holiday Haunt, and now this? This is a pattern of behavior now. Warner Bros. should be investigated for this borderline criminal behavior.

What gets me is that they are most likely approaching it from the perspective of Looney Tunes being a WB franchise, despite the fact they do not care for the film at all, so much so that they didn’t even bother to watch the finished movie before making the decision to shelve it…. #ReleaseCoyoteVsAcme

Agreed, tho honestly with how they treated so much animation in hbo max for example I don’t think there’ll even be much to watch anyway I feel like similar to Disney, the problem with Warner bros currently is not setting a foundation of newcomers They could probably take a couple flops, but the issue is with how much more Warner is doing tax write offs left and right very often, it makes a bunch of directors go “yeah fuck no” And only left with, really very few Sure thered be people who’d work for the DC stuff, but in terms of animations? A huge chunk that I feel has mascots very close in size as Mickey Mouse and others? I feel the fact that they’re treating it very terribly makes me predict that they’ll be falling in a decade, partiallt cuz people grown tired of the treatment so much, as well as how with how unaccepting they are of animation, newer generations won’t have newer material to go off of Similar to Disney currently. They can take the flops, but it’s the fact that they basically keep breaking trust with the audiences, similar to the directors for WB and at some percentage, also the audience That basically has them be more likely to lose so much more of the company To keep tax writing and canceling really high potential things will only bite you back in the a$$

@@CocainBuzz yeah, but the sales of dvd/blu rays aren't what they were in the early 2000's they aren't even a third Look up matt Damon talking about it. He straight out says the death of the market by steaming killed the viability of mid level projects because studios can't bank on that dvd money anymore and a mid budget movie isn't what is bringing someone to a streaming service so they can't justify making it unless they can retool the script into a mini series

If WB was worried about someone else succeeding with this movie, which makes sense considering it did good with test screenings, they should’ve just released it themselves.

Purposely creating lost media like this should be illegal.

Deadline said that Coyote Vs acme isn’t officially dead yet as there’s still a chance it could be sold and the asking price is $70 million

They made a whole movie. That's complete/ finished. And there are people that want to watch it. Yet WB doesn't let them. Imo, the least they could do is to put it on there streamingplatform HBO. Ps: This really sucks man.

Seems that Warner Bros can no longer understand how much the Looney Tunes franchise means to fans of all ages and are just trying to skate on by without facing consequences for their actions. Typical business in the film industry I guess

Because Deadline said that David Zazlav cancelled Coyote vs acme for tax purposes , yesterday , Deadline also said that the door on Coyote Vs acme prospects isn’t close

As an aspiring filmmaker, this is just absolutely depressing

I feel the same way for Batgirl, I know it sucks, but I would have like to see Brandon Frasier as Firefly, put it on Max. Same goes for this why not put it on Max?!

The only hope is for it to get leaked.

This feels so wrong. While sure you can argue everyone involved got paid. But that's time and effort spent by so many departments. Actors, animators, costume design, set design, makeup. So many moving parts to this art unseen. That's horrible to devote yourself to a craft and no one gets to admire it. And for what greed? Just release it on max yourselves.

I wanted to watch this, they should have just put it on Streaming!

Live action films based on cartoons are coming next. with the fall of dc and marvel if they don’t get it together. WB would of been smart to release this before dp3 but once that’s a success marvels back. Feel like I rather enjoy a simple film as this over another rushed superhero film with no real end purpose

Last year it was Disney mainly taking the L's....This year I have a feeling that it will be Warner Brother's since most people in the industry won't want to work with Warner Brother's and most people won't see thier movie's in general

I’d be interested in it if it didn’t contain live action and was fully animated.
