Punisher doesn't even have powers. He's just a normal guy who's good with guns and hand to hand combat. So he seems like a hero that isn't particularly hard to adapt.

It would be dope if someone made a Punisher game that is semi-open world and having a Sleeping Dogs inspired hand to hand combat system along with Max Payne inspired shooter mechanics, it would be awesome seeing The Punisher pull off these John Wick styled executions while of course also performing brutal environmental ones.

It's funny how the ESRB initially thought this game deserved an adults only ratting just from the violence alone when just a few years later we started getting games like Prototype and Dead Space.

Despite Garth Ennis being how he is about superheroes, it's important to note that he has a high amount of respect for Superman. He always writes Superman well, compared to how dirty he does Wolverine, for example.

I would love a Punisher game today, but with Disney owning Marvel I doubt he would ever even see another movie or series. He's a great character and would definitely fit in todays gaming landscape even if they make it a cover-shooter game like Uncharted style

I miss the days when Marvel was darker during the 2000s, as in my opinion, it led to some of their most unique content. Not all successful, but unique nonetheless. Even then it was rare with only Punisher and Xmen origins Wolverine being HC Wolverine was made under activision tho bc they had the marvel game license from 2000 - 2014 Idk if Marvel would have greenlit a game like this but we have to wait and see how Insomniacs Wolverine will turn out Rocksteadys Suicide squad will be HC as well with blood and guts and everything

I picked up this game a year or two ago and I was surprised just how well it held up in terms of graphics and gameplay. It’s by no means perfect, but it’s a hell of a fun, bloody time! And the fact that it was basically the precursor to saints row makes me love it even more! It’s a shame that we’ll never get to see that open world punisher sequel and given how Marvel has been basically doing everything in their power to reduce him to a shell of his former glory (like come on, why remove his iconic symbol just because a bunch of idiots tend to use it and give him something worse?!), I don’t think we’ll ever see another punisher game to this quality or better again.

The editing of these videos is just next level. It must take days to finish just one video. Hats off to you, it’s really something else.

I never understood or respected Ennis' hatred for superheroes. There's plenty of mature ways to tell a superhero story, but he chooses "edgy teen" almost all the time. I also believe if you hate superheroes, you hate a significant part of comics. It's wild to me that someone can get popular while rejecting a large part of the comic genre. Ennis might not even have gotten as popular as he did if he wasn't writing in the 00's, the edgelord decade.

ppl like OP will never understand that sometimes 'it isn't what it seems' a such common misconception that the Public Opinion loves to make about Ennis is that he hates Superheroes... because he hates Superheroes......😐 he doesn't hate Superheroes for the sake of it... he still likes them especially Superman, wonder woman, batman etc. but what he hates is what's 'around' super-heroes and 'how' super-heroes came to be later throughout the ages of comics... its why in The Boys comic, he tackles on what's 'around' super-heroes and how they don't actually care about Superheroes and use them for profit which in the same way is presented in real life... the comic/superhero industry isn't sun-shine and rainbows... there's A LOT that go behind the scenes and its why Ennis wanted to deviate as much as possible but not in a hateful way in which the Public Opinion perceives The Boys comic as just the ultimate edge for the sake of edge... ppls way of thinking gets so twisted easily and thus perceiving that specific thing as Horrible and how it's just is.

When I was a kid this game fascinated me with violence and swears but after I replayed in my 20s I realised that it has a solid gameplay too, the gunplay here is better than most modern TPS

This game is honestly one of my all time favorite games, been playing this game since I was like 3 LOL. I wish more people knew about it, feels like a hidden gem of a game. The soundtrack in this game is engrained into my brain IT'S SO GOOD.

This brings back so many memories, I remember buying this from my local game shop and played it on my PS2. This was all me and my friends talked about back then.

i dont understand how you can perceive the Punishers violence as 'tame' just because its older.... sure the extreme details like the skin being ripped off and seeing layers behind it aren't there in the Punisher... but it's the context and depictions of it which is violent... ppl say this exact thing with Manhunt 1 which is just so stupid

There is on the PC. The only thing it doesn't censor is the one where you hang a black criminal in the prison level.
