I don't think there is a more glorious sound then the sound of a pump action shotgun.

What about racking the charging handle on a M2 Browning .50 cal?
Great guide thanks! Just picked up an 1897 and practised a little yesterday, most guys do over the top but for fast double shots like a can-kicker I may practice the right side load first. Off to get some slabs of 12ga!
one of the best information videos I have seen online. I love these different reloads and I have started practicing them since watching your video about an hour ago. I'm getting the hang out performing them but I still need work of course. lol. I am modifying it to a certain extent because I am using a shotgun with a plug in it so it only feeds three rounds at a time but it's still fun!
Great demonstrations and info, thanks for sharing. I like how similar going over the top of the receiver to load a shell into the open port is to going over the top of the AK's receiver to hit the charging handle. I do prefer going under the receiver to hit the charging handle on the AK tho. Some people have asked where HEMA ends, given they used early firearms for centuries alongside all those swords etc. I say HEMA ends where Cowboy Action Shooting begins :)
Excellent technique. Thanks for posting this video. I am new to CAS and this gives me some things to practice.
Enjoy this series a lot. Excellent teacher with amazing technique.
Such a cool series!
Great instruction! thanks for the vids...
Really impressive!! Great video :D
Great videos really like watching these I have learned many different techniques from this channel keep up the good work
7:06- 7:09 RAWHIDE!!!!
very well done!
Thank you I came here trying to figure out this guy on a short was seemingly making shells appear in his hand like magic while top loading. I wasn't sure how viable grabbing 3 shells at a time would be, but if people can do four or more, three seems reasonable.
The Ring Of Steel Made it all Worth While Thanks For The Tips 😀😊
That was impressive TY for sharing
Awesome
you make it LOOK so easy
This is Hickock43
Daaaaaaamn, he's a machine.
What about the side-by-side loads?
Thanks for all the great videos. They've been helpful. However, if I may give some friendly advice, all your videos have distorted sound. You need to turn the gain down on your microphone to prevent clipping.
whats the best shot for 12 gauge home protection?
3:30 you flipping me off?
Wow.
Why isn't the gun loaded to capacity from the start? Or is it?
I like that OTT method
Great stuff. Hope to get a Win. 1897 sometime soon! Would love to also have a side by side.
What’s the best loading technique, with a Winchester 1866?
This man is loading and firing a slide faster and more efficiently than some operate a semi wow
I always preferred overhanding a 97 but I'm left handed so it was always easier for me
I will never get over the fact this thing was invented 2 centuries ago
I prefer over the top loading.
Man Howdy!
This guy is a Certified bad ass.
👍👍
Can someone recommend a gun range that I can go to in the DC area to learn how to shoot a 12 gage SAWED off shotgun 👌🏼👌🏼
And that bird'll go up 👆
Gator Mclusky sittin on a stump hammer pulled back on a 12 gauge pump !
I believe those would still sell good if produced by a quility manufacturer today.
Or just load the tube magazine as is intended by the manufacturer?

I doubt they can beat double barrel since the shotgun start empty.
I didnt know shotguns used to work like that
Is there a reason you don’t lode 5 in the magazine?

Competition rules. Shotgun start empty, finish empty. Penalty for any round left and misses.

In real life some of our heroes have been kia with empty shotguns, conventional reloading single rounds into the magazine tube is too slow and cumbersome. Had they been trained with these techniques the outcomes could have been favorable. Likewise with revolvers, it is important to know direction of cylinder rotation to deploy that 1 or 2 critical cartridges.
This is why you don't mess with Texas.
I wish I could handle the '97 like Jim "Long Hunter" Finch

The audio quality in this video is about on par as a 13-year-old recording call of duty while eating his Logitech microphone.

That's cool, dickhead
Why not just load the shotgun completely. Seems a lot fast, and efficient than reloading after every shot or two. It's a pump action, not a a double barrel. It can hold more than two shots.
sounds like the mic was inside a tin can inside a microwave inside a 50s refrigerator inside an airstream mobile home inside a metal aircraft hanger
audio.
Hear me out. Put 6 rounds in the tube like our lord and savior John Browning intend and make pump shotguns a separate class.
Cowboy action shooting....really?
