Covid19 Testing In Puerto Vallarta | My nose swab experience to return to the U.S. or Canada

Covid19 testing in Puerto Vallarta is actually easier than you think. In this video I share our personal experience testing for Covid19 so you can better understand what to expect during your visit to Puerto Vallarta. Whether you are from the U.S. or Canada a simple nose swab will earn you passage home.
KEY POINTS FOR COVID19 TESTING IN PUERTO VALLARTA
Prior to re-entering the U.S. or Canada, travelers must test negative three days or 72 hours prior to checking in at the airport.
Covid test location is open 24 hours daily.
No reservation necessary.
Cash or credit card is accepted (Visa or Mastercard).
Results are sent to you by email
U.S. citizens take the Antigen test for $25 or 450 pesos.
Result delivery time: 30 to 45 minutes.
Canadians take the PCR test for $80 US or 1,450 pesos.
Result delivery time: 24 to 45 hours.
Take your passport to register. A photo of your passport or an image on your phone is acceptable.
If no passport is available you will need a form of ID such as a drivers license and your plane ticket (on your phone is acceptable). Your full name on each ID must match.

Nicest review. It was good to have a number of people talk about their experience because it seems like it depends on who is doing the test as to how uncomfortable it is. I thought the PCR test went up further in the sinuses but it looks like either test can be a bit invasive with the wrong person and not bad at all with the right person. I take it you can never do the swab yourself ?

Thanks for the video! Also, from what I understand (so far - things may change), crossing by land into the USA doesn't require the testing. I can't see any reason why someone would want to skip the test, but there is that option. The CBX border crossing in Tijuana to San Diego is fairly simple and painless, and there are shuttles (various costs) that will take you to downtown San Diego, Los Angeles, and even Sacramento. I used the CBX crossing to get to Seattle via the Amtrak Coast Starlight train.

@@timelesstravelclub6240 I haven't heard anything since the testing requirement via flying was put in place - I'd expect a slight bump in traffic at CBX. I used it a little before Covid-19, and my longest delays were waiting for the shuttle on the USA side, and waiting for my breakfast on the México side :)

CDC policy states 10 only days quarantine but the airlines require 14. Depending on where you stay, some hotels provide a free room during quarantine in a designated separated room. After quarantine a negative test is once again required before returning home. There are a few more variables that I am not aware of I'm sure.
