Me versus The Paricutin Volcano | How Paricutin tried to kill me

Me versus the Paricutin volcano portrays my volcano hike that went bad. While Paricutin did not kill me, obviously, it did give me the opportunity to showcase the birth of the newest volcano in the western hemisphere that is Paricutin in the Mexican state of Michoacan.

@@timelesstravelclub6240 They only let you up to the first landing on the pyramid of the moon, so you can claim you went as far up as possible! The pyramid of the sun however ... those steps are STEEP. And the handrail doesn't go all the way up - plus it's used by people coming back down too, so you can't take it over to help you! Add the elevation, and my 35 years of misspent youth smoking cigarettes - and the pinched sciatic nerve that makes 1/2 of my left foot numb ... Lol. I give it a shot each time though! AND I do scoot back down on my butt because a tumble down those steps would get you more than a little bruised!

Great video Andy. I'd like to know more of the indigenous town you went. How large was the city before the eruption and how large now. My 7th grade teacher taught us about the volcano that appeared overnight. Good to be reminded. I'm 69years now.

Thank you for the tips. I had a question. I was wondering if you have ever visited El Cristo Roto it is in Aguascalientes On a lake island, this 25m-tall sculpture of Christ with a missing arm & leg is a pilgrimage site.It looks so wonderful. I would love to visit but I am disabled (on a walker) and not sure if i can do it. Was wondering if you have visited the “El Cristo Roto“ . Thank you for your wonderful videos. God bless you. Stay safe. Hugs, Ruthie Ps i was trying to subscribe to your Facebook & Instagram and fb is not working and Instagram took me to the wrong page. FYI
