Hi Maunalee. I am so glad you got to this song and your reaction was terrific. It was as emotional as the song was. I do have to correct one point though. You have given out another 10/10. It was in your reaction to Courtney's 'Old Town Road' cover 😊. So you've heard a hard rock song by Courtney and now a completely different genre of music. As you can see, Courtney takes every song she sings and makes it her own. It almost becomes a new original. For those of us who follow her closely, the term we use is that she takes a song and 'Courterizes' it. She has two other recently released covers on her Vevo channel, and I can just tell you're going to want to know what she does to the Jonas Brothers 'Sucker' and Harry Styles 'Sign of the Times'. It's going to be in the back of your head until you finally react to them, so you might as well just bite the bullet and do them soon 😁. Just a bit of information on Courtney. She was signed by Syco/Arista records and her first album of original music is scheduled to be released just after the new year. Her four recent covers on her Vevo channel now have 7 million views and each has at least a 98% like to dislike ratio. BTW, all four covers are now available on nearly all music platforms both individually and as an EP called 'The Cover Sessions'. I absolutely love your reactions. They are so heartfelt while at the same time it is clear how well you know your music. Looking forward to much more Courtney Hadwin Vevo: kzread.info/dron/J0UIOws33p5zRE6Eul3rlw.html

After I come home from work I usually go to youtube and search for new Courtney videos. Be it a reaction or new songs from her. So today I decided to listen to your reaction again. And I must say I think I can watch this video over and over as much as I can watching any of Courtney's videos over and over. To me a reaction to a video is supposed to be the same as how Courtney releases her emotions when she sings. And that's exactly what you've done here. It was very easy to tell you were hanging on to every pitch Courtney releases from her body. She's got a way of making people who really listen closely to believe she actually lived the lyrics of a song. I said this before, lots of people think blues players have to go through lots of suffering in life to be able to play the blues. But I've been around many great guitars players as a youngster to know that's not necessarily true. And although this song may not be considered blues, the feeling this 15 year old (actually 14 when she recorded it) put into this song is way more than any amount of suffering a lot of musician have shown me in my lifetime. And I doubt she has had much suffering so far in her life. You don't have to suffer to create music from your heart. You just have to love it as much as you love the most important thing in your life. It gives me goosebumps when I watch others like yourself really appreciate this little super star. If Courtney isn't a huge hit when her album gets release, I will be so upset with the music audience of today.

Man has she come a long way with her vocals!!! I liked her O.K. when she did the talent shows, but this is beyond special. This performance moved me to tears it was so good. I was reluctant to listen to this because I was afraid she might try too hard, but I am stunned. This is a major league performance. I hope she will get the attention for her straight singing that she deserves. I like your approach to reactions. You don't cloud the song with too many comments. You wait until the song is over to share. Because we are all listening to it together and our reactions are at the same time and real. I am going to subscribe. Until the next time.

Well put. Courtney has matured with her dynamics 10 fold. She always had a powerful voice singing ballads before Voice kids. But now she is very dynamic with her control. Even when she erupts she has learned to waver her emotions. The listener hears variations in her vocals and not just the power she has in her voice. Give her a rocker song to perform and she is just gold to see her move and control the stage with her movements and vocals. Should see her become a huge star.

note that the remaining two videos are much more viewed that the two you already saw... seems impossible but yes Courtney goes up yet another level with those. Her own personal favorite is ' Old Town Road ', so far ' Sucker ( foor you ) ' is the most popular. - for an original thats already almost a year old see ' Pretty Little Thing ' the performance on AGT Champions. Unfortunately there are no professional recordings of her Vegas AGT Live performances.

Maunalee, yours was one of my favorite reactions to my very favorite performer, Courtney Hadwin (I only search for Courtney and Elvis). Must be, because I did a long comment that the Internet god apparently didn't like, wouldn't let post and then disintegrated! I was pissed and said #@!÷ it! Normally wouldn't have re-tried. But I listened again, and you and Courtney together were just too good--you hit all the buttons: you let Courtney sing without interruption, had the right amount of emotional response, your commentary was spot on, and you are both easy on the eyes. Even liked your voice tone--Courtney's tone is always perfect! I guess you can tell I'm a fan; I'm not a fan-type guy usually. Courtney Hadwin is special, and you can get a lot of her information from other comments already. It's so neat to see younger generations understanding the raw power in Courtney's delivery that is not common in today's music I refer to as bubble gum pop. When her 1st album drops early next year I predict she will quickly hit the big time--and she's only 15! Meanwhile, I hope you will react to the other 2 songs on her VEVO channel, all 4 of which you can download from one of the music platforms. Also, you could catch her amazing journey on AGT and many KZread videos back to age 9. If you want tears, react to her 11 year old version of Elvis' "Can't Help Falling in Love".

@@billweekley4077 I'm 72. Heard Elvis do it and already heard Angelina. Her version is closer to the original feel. I like Angelina, consider her very talented and innovative in her own style. I just happen to love Courtney. Two very different singers, and I'm perfectly fine whichever one someone prefers. To me, its like fire and ice. Angelina is more jazzy and cool; Courtney is more gritty and hot. When I have time to listen to music, I tend to like it hot and, like Elvis, the stage performance complements the singing; Courtney has no peer on stage presence IMO.

Thank you for this emotional reaction! Courtney's version of "Someone You Loved" is so complex (fantastic vocals, deep emotions and an incredible charisma). It starts a little weak in the low note G#3, vocal warm-up, Courtney ;-) (Where there is light, there must be shadow)! what comes next is fantastic, 2 minutes and 38 seconds emotional Vocal firework! what a vocal range (G3-A5), beautiful transitions chest. to head voice and this powerful/raw in Courtney's voice... Oh my goodness! @Maunalee 3:15 its not falsetto. Women have falsetto registers (in the music scientific theory) but hardly ever use them at all, all she did was make her head voice sound breathy to imitate falsetto.

Not really Harry doesn't have a trained voice so it's not really better. Actually James Corden did just as well in a Range Rover.. If you want to hear falsetto properly listen to a classical piece I picked this because I'm sure you can open it however there are better than this kzread.info/dash/bejne/a66FupSRoaSraMY.html

@Garth never said her falsetto was the best. I said her best. She is only 15 after all and has time to improve. She is not a classical singer there are artist who have better voices and control of their voices than her. It’s her tone and the emotion.

Lewis Capaldi was asked how he liked Courtneys version of this song and he said he thought she nailed it, and she wanted to collaborate on a few songs in the future he would be interested in working with her. When the original artist likes your cover, well, that says a lot.

Another great reaction. She's currently at number 2 on my top vocalist list. It's Angelina Jordan at one, Courtney at two, then Pink (my number one for years - Sorry Pink!). I put these three on a level of their own. This is not to say there aren't a slew of really great singers and bands out there: Uncle Jed, Adele, Diana Ankudinova, Dimash, Amira Willighagen, Jonathan Antoine, to name just a few, but those three are the ones that give me goosebumps every time. Nice tats, btw.

@@musicwithmaunalee Here's a few links to help you out on that. As you are now so aware, it's important to listen to the right song for a first reaction. A couple will have multiple links, because while the second song might be better, you can't get the full story without the background of the first, so please bear with me. All are well worth a reaction on their own. Uncle Jed: kzread.info/dash/bejne/e66Kz5OSob2cgtI.html First audition on Australia's Got Talent. Uncle Jed: kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y6yqybyIfcrapKQ.html This is their second song, and much superior in my opinion, but as I say, you can't really appreciate how good it is without the background. Uncle Jed: kzread.info/dash/bejne/iYWB2tWyidXgeLQ.html This one is quite a bit later, an in-studio recording. It's just....fun. I guarantee you it will leave you not only in awe, but with a huge smile on your face. Diana Ankudinova: kzread.info/dash/bejne/aZ6qj6aKnsmYhbw.html If this is one of those that's new to you, I assure you you've never heard anything like this before. Fierce. Amira Wilighagen: kzread.info/dash/bejne/o3iltqSle7iac6g.html To this day this is my all-time number one jaw-dropper first audition. Even Angelina couldn't take this one away. Be sure to listen to the judges commentary at the end. Jonathon Antoine (Charlotte and Jonathon): kzread.info/dash/bejne/jKeCzsWrZMnYo5c.html First audition on Britain's Got Talent. Charlotte and Jonathon: kzread.info/dash/bejne/nHiKt9uyYM7VYdo.html This is their second song. It's much better than the first audition, but again, it's that background thing. Without the first one, you can't fully appreciate the second. I'd include the intro with this one so your audience will get the full story. Louisa Johnston: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZH95s5mqXZaYgpM.html I don't know how I could have not included this one in my mentions, but better late than never. This one still brings a tear to my eye - it's that good. Louisa Johnston: kzread.info/dash/bejne/iqaIw69sgZXJkZs.html This is her semi-final song. The difference in attitude and professionalism between this one and the first audition will knock your socks off. It's quite understandable that you've never heard of some of these people. The world has become so, so, so much bigger since the advent of the Internet that it's literally impossible to keep up. The first computer I sat down at used punch cards, so that'll give you some idea of how long I've been online. As always, these are my own personal likes and opinions, and worth exactly what you've paid for it. Enjoy.

She's 15 here. I get the comparison to Adele, but to my ears Courtney takes it up a notch, and that's saying a lot because Adele is excellent. Her voice is so powerful, so emotional, so raw. Sure she's matured from AGT, but don't kid yourself. She is a performer who owns and commands the stage. I think that's what this cover album is so amazing because it's live. No do overs, no studio work done to it. I can just picture a concert where she is rocking it out owning the stage, then either standing alone in a spotlight or sitting and singing a song like this. I honestly have not been this excited about a new talent in a long time (I did not steal that from Heidi). And to boot I am a 60 year-old metalhead who loves Opeth, Power Trip, Dimmu Borgir, etc etc. Yet Courtney has totally drawn me in. She is such a refreshing break to what I call the crap music of today being pop/hip hop/rap. Old soul, brining you back decades yet keeping it real and current.
