So happy to find another conversion team! Please check out our nonprofit and how our missions align. Be very interested to see if you’d like to join us near Joshua Tree for a major ambulance renovation festival event to support our nonprofit. We are planning to host the event each year.

The metal plates on the floor are called cot plates. I remount ambulances and sometimes we have to drill out the bolts to the plates. They are usually 3/8 of an inch so if this is still an issue use a 3/8 drill bit to remove the bolt. It does take a while to drill them though. Don’t forget to caulk the holes in the floor also!

I have a few questions about those plates. How much weight are the suppose to support? Can the be reused as tie downs to secure cargo?

Ahh yes lots of rust 😭 we had a brake line explode yesterday after changing the rear brakes and bleeding them. It was SO rusty, got it all fixed though (Tim is a mechanic by trade so we can usually get stuff fixed right up pretty quickly) 😊🎉 Thanks for the tip! The fuel tank is in the way of getting an angle grinder up in there and like you said it’s too rusty for the wrench haha we had such a pain that first week or so of working on it that we put it on the back burner and still haven’t attempted it again 🤣 whoops! It’s on the agenda, but we are actually about to take it on a road trip to see how everything goes with where we’re at in the build right now 🤗 we’ll be roughing it a bit, but we are so excited!!! Thanks so much for watching 🥰

Ah, I see further into this video that you tried the angle grinder too! If you come at it from the edge of the mounts, you should find that you can grind off the bolt heads and leave the bolt shafts even with the subfloor.

Perfect!!! Thank you for those tips, Tim. We will try that out when we get back from our trip so those things can finally be GONE! Haha we had to upgrade our angle grinder once we started removing the aluminum boxes, so I think this new one will be able to grind those out easily. We appreciate you watching and for your insight 😊🎉

Hi guys I'm coming to the end of a UK ambulance build but funnily enough the ambulances and electrics are very much the same in both countries the best way to get most of the hardware on the floor is to grind it off from underneath, but be careful those are holding the back box onto the chassis haha good luck 👍

Watched both episodes and.. if you're still working on the issue with those bolts.. Have you considered an impact screwdriver? You can buy one for about $20. It's a hand-held one that you put into the groove of a screw (assuming you have the ability to grind the heads of the bolts so it has a + sign for the impact screwdriver to settle into). Either that or you borrow an impact drill that has the adaptor you need.

Hello, May I share an Old Testament Verse with you from Daniel 7:14 "And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a Kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should SERVE Him; his dominion is an Everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom shall not pass away, and His Kingdom that which shall not be destroyed." Also, can I share Isaiah 53:5 " But HE was WOUNDED For our TRANSGRESSIONS, he was BRUISED for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His STRIPES we are HEALED." God the Father loves you so much that He sent Holy Sinless Jesus (His Holy Son) to earth to be born of a virgin. Then, to grow up and die on a cross for our sins. He was in the tomb for 3 days, then Father God raised Holy and Sinless Jesus Christ (Y'shua) to Life! He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must receive Sinless Jesus sincerely to be God's child(John 1:12).After we get saved by grace through faith in Christ, if we truly love the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will obey Jesus(John 14:15). Mark 1:15 "And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe the gospel." Jesus said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "There's a real hell. It says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly, & unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, & immoral persons sorcerers & idolaters & all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire & brimstone..." Please sincerely receive Holy Jesus and put your true faith and trust in Him today & please repent. Will you have a Real encounter with Holy Lord Jesus (Y'shua is His Hebrew Name) and stay in a Genuine relationship with Him daily please?

Hmmm? Let's look at this and see what we can reuse in here. (5 minutes later)Oh, nothing. We can build something better than that professional coach manufacture did, even though we hav 5 minutes experience looking at it and they have 40 years of fabrication. Yep, let's rip it all out. That makes sense?
