Mind you, the price on the tags with the black strip at the bottom are promotional prices. The normal price is in smaller print on the left side of the tag. This supermarket chain they were in (Continente) always has promotions on many products everyday and most of those promotions usually last for an extended period of time. Another thing to note is that usually supermarkets put the more expensive items on the top shelf, the more affordable ones in the middle and the cheaper ones are at the bottom. That said, being more afordable or cheaper doesn't mean they're of worst quality. When it comes to wines, for instance, you can find good ones on the bottom shelf as well. 🙂

Comparing shopping to groceries in Scotland (where I’m from) it’s more expensive for sure. I moved over to Portugal a week ago to study and I’m personally a little shocked to find how expensive it is to shop here!

Yeah.... most of portugal doenst earn 10k a year. And prices are way higher from 2 years ago.

10k a year ÷ 14 months = 714 , 28 euros a months. No one in Portugal earns that unless is a part time.

@@bornonthebayou7926 in Portugal the layout of the store have a patent copyright. Just be in mind, if someone ask you to stop, Portugal have that law. Also everywhere even in the streets, if you record someone and they ask you to stop, you stop. You only can record the person if they allowed, its privacy law.
