I was there from Aug 08-Feb 09. My roommate's 4:30 alarm was Low by Flo-Rida. I still shudder every time I hear that song.

I was at Corry Station in 1991 and our rooms were so much bigger than what you have now. When you first enter the suite, there was a little area with a couch and tv. Then there were two rooms to the left and two rooms to the right. They were big enough for three people each. They had a single bed a bunk bed. The rooms were spacious; we didn't feel cramped. We had a combination lock on our closet. We did not have all of those benches around the trees like you have. Our laundry room was way bigger; like a regular public laundromat. I really miss being in the Air Force and I miss Corry. I sure was wondering what Corry looked like these days. Thanks for this video.

Air Force stationed there in 89-90. I laughed hard when you said TV room dont know what that is!! Back then we called it our day room, and come Sunday nights, it was packed! Obviously alot has changed, but it was nice to see a memory over 30yrs ago..

Ironically, I had a nicer room back in 1984. But we were allowed to do nearly anything we wanted with our rooms, so my roommate and I took full advantage of that. We had our room custom painted and carpeting, refrigerator/microwave, etc… . Plus, the old lockers weren’t beat up back then as they were still reasonably new.

I was there in 1981 in U.S.A.F. , back then they had all 4 branches of the military there , we were studying Morse Code in a building with no clocks ⏰ and no windows 🪟 called 52Papa , I don’t think they even use Morse Code anymore, copying at 16GPM’s was no joke!

I’ll be at Corry Station for my AIT next week (35S MOS-Army Reserve). This video is helpful, but wondering: any insight anyone can give on what I can expect? Such as, cell phone restrictions, laptop usage, overall freedom, etc??? Any help would be great!

    1. You can have anything you want for electronics. People have TVs, tablets, desktops, PS4, etc. 2. You can't have your phone on you during the duty day (which is from 0345 to 1600 but nobody really follows that rule. Just don't get caught or be stupid) or during formation (which SOME people still do) 3. When u get here, you have to earn the privilege to go off base, wear civilian clothes, and sleep in on weekends (because there's a phase IV formation on the weekends at 11am). Its called black phase and in order to become gold phase and get those privileges, you have to do a uniform inspection, room inspection, pass a record PT test, and take a written test (which is stupid hard). If you fail a requirement, you have to wait a week to try again. While you're black phase, you have to wear the OCP everywhere besides the gym or track. While you're black phase, they take and lock up your civilian clothes. You're eligible to get gold phase after being here for 3 total weeks

The Chillmaster, Wow, amazing info! Needed that! Curious: were you also a 35S Army? Just wondering because several forums make it seem as it’s really laid back for Navy trainees, but Army trainees are held to more strict standards. Again, any help is amazingly helpful!

The Chillmaster, I should’ve clarified. By standards, the sites I’ve been googling make it seem as if navy trainees have much more freedom than Army trainees. For Army trainees, it may feel like the red phase in BCT all over during initial weeks. Of course, if that’s the case, makes me dread what’s to come :-/

@@victorcondori9153 LOL they have no clue what they're talking about. Yes the navy and other branches have it a little bit better than us in terms of freedom and not having to wake up at 3am to workout 5 days a week, but this is NOWHERE near like basic. There's still drill sergeants here but they're not like basic training drill sergeants. They're more human. You're first 1-2 weeks (35S start class early compared to 17C) you're gonna be chilling. You're gonna in process for the first few days. After that, generally you wake up at 0345 for PT, then get to go back to sleep because next formation isn't till 0800. After first formation, you may or may not be put on detail which basically you go somewhere to help people clean for about 30 minutes to two hours MAX (time flies by fast) and the rest of the day is yours. You'll have another formation at 1400 where you won't do anything and that's it

@@bobbykibobby dude i've been in Pensacola since i left basic (October 4th) and i just now start class Monday. Yes, i waited since October 4h to start class because class is so backed up and they only take 2-4 Army guys each week and then you also have MOS-T (people switching jobs) coming in and stealing your spot. Even tho my AIT location is extremely more laxed than anywhere in the army, tradoc still sucks. Thanks to a lot of fuck ups in the past, they had to make stricter rules and policies like curfew, no leaving base without a battle buddy, etc. However, you might not train here. You might go straight to Gordon as a test subject for a program the army is testing so they won't have to rely on sending people to Pensacola
