if anyone's nervous, don't be. I just got back yesterday and it was the single most boring experience of my life. the cool part is meeting other people your age and talking about dumb shit during lunch or dinner, everywhere else you have to sit in silence for hours on end. keep your head down, say yes/no sir/ma'am, and follow instructions. you'll be government property in no time.

  • @minato4294

Jer CapAlot the majority of it isn’t hard at all. There are a few sections such as shop, automotive, and electric that most people don’t do too well on just because they weren’t taught that stuff in school. Depending on what job you want, you might not even need to do good on those sections. I studied for all sections following up to the day of my ASVAB and I got a 98 AFQT score and my line scores were pretty good too. I studied maybe 30 minutes a day every other day for 2 weeks, if you look up ASVAB Practice Tests, just look then over and learn the right answers if you didn’t get any question right. I ship out to Parris island June 14th, 2021

So if going to MEPS would they accept a doctors recommendation letter and that I can be cleared to go into training for the branch that I picked and so are recommendation letters okay from the citizen doctor because I do doctors visits and it’s for my Neuro science and so would it be okay to bring a recommendation letter from the doctor 👨‍⚕️ and I’m planning to go in the Military and the job I picked is the Navy because I want to do Special Operation/ Special Warfare (SEALS) plus I’m a son of a former DEA agent and so is a doctors note okay to bring to MEPS to have them give the okay for it and than tell that branch that this person is okay to train

For anyone who's nervous about meps, don't be. It's gonna be the most boring day of you life. But what you need to focus on is your ASVAB test. The last thing you wanna do it score low of your ASVAB and end up with a bad job. This one day pretty much determines the next decade of your life so don't screw it up being nervous about the physical and then drop the ball on the ASVAB.

Wow this a very different situation than what I went through with meps. First the hotel I stayed at didn't brief or anyone else on any rules, just gave me a room key. The lobby was open at all hours of the night, we didn't have any lights out, a bunch of recruits hung out in one hotel until 1 in the morning. We didn't have any pictures taking at meps, we took the asvab before hand, most people did it at the high school they attended as most recruits were seniors still in high school

The civilian guys still had a attitude. Anyways i failed tape by 1.5 inch. I thought harder on my personal situation and decided i wasnt going back. I was chasing what i was missing. My buddies the comradery and the war.

Literally I had no issue once I was in the docs room. Just focus on passing the asvab. DO NOT WORRY! You will be just fine I promise. But there is a f- ton of waiting. Be prepared for that guys. Technically that's a lie you don't take the Asbav test in MEPS. you actually take a Practice Test in your Recruiters office. then he or she will set you up with the new PICAT test. which is 3 hours long. that does depend if you want to take the PICAT from your own home or take the Asbav at MEPS.
