I love your videos! This one was full of information that was new to me. If I ever get the chance again, I will excitedly give a cornstalk a gentle shake if I realize the timing is right to help get the pollen to fall toward the silks. Thank you!
corn has a big history! I love those different colored kernels! I would love to grow corn, but I don't have much space ^^;

right, corn takes a lot of space... and it needs a warmer climate than yours, I think
surely you nix...the corn? i find it so easy to digest this way. thank you for your research !

Actually, I did not know about the nixtamalization process till I started to do this research. I was told to heat dry kernels in a pan, then grind them into flour and cook like a porrige. Which I did, and enjoyed this simple but satisfying dish, with some cocnut oil, salt and a bit of honey. Now I'm going to try cooking it with ashes first. I will cover corn varieties and nutrition in the next video that I'm working on now.

@@AuthenticGardening you sure should try it. you can roast the corn after. oh look it up on u tube for how. that is how i found out and did it and never before had i eaten corn this way so easy to assimilate! of course it is organic as well. thank you!

@@AuthenticGardening super! i used garden lime...same product sold in the mexican stores for this process. they need a wet grinder after this unless you dry them first after nix-ing. it is fun really
