When she said “I’m going home” that’s what really got me. My grandmother has pretty bad Alzheimer’s and all she says is “I wanna go home” even when she is home. And I can’t imagine something like this happening to her. that police officer has serious issues. I feel like he was putting all of his anger out on that poor elderly woman who was just confused and scared and wanted to go home. Truly sad 😢

Wanted to know what I was doing (taking pictures - should have been obvious), where I was going, where I lived, etc. I was on the side of the road. He was blocking traffic. None of what he asked was any of his business. I'm in my 70s. Seems like all they want to do is harass us these days.

Her pure smile towards the cops is just heartbreaking. She didn’t deserve it. They’re even making fun of her situation.

IMAGINE being proud of breaking an innocent old lady's bones. the amount of force used was completely unnecessary, i don't see why she even needed to be detained in the first place? she gave the items back, she was just walking down the street

Unbelievably callous and utterly cowardly. I'm appalled by such behaviour. Its heartbreaking to watch.

The officers who accosted her deserve a serious prison sentence and a well deserved beating from prison cell inmates for at least five minutes. They should also be strapped to a stretcher and be given a beating by every single person they brutalized throughout their careers.

For 6 hours she went raw without any medical attention. They gave her a lousy bag of ice for a broken arm and dislocated shoulder.

What i dont like about other cops some of them shove poeple to the ground too hard and injure them :( But i would rather get shoved to the ground on grass instead of Solid Conccrete FloOrr :)

73 year old woman. 70lbs. Confused by dementia. Wasn't even harming anybody and certainly didn't resist. Has her arm broken and is laughed at by officers. Disgusting. I hope the officers were fired and whoever made the call in the first place lives with guilt for the REST of their MISERABLE roachwater life.

ngl at first I thought the lady was a shoplifter when apparently she returned the $14 item so i can understand the police's need to make an arrest to a possible shoplifter this is just by law, but 1:54 proves that they had ill intentions and was excited about how he shoved her to the ground i find that sick to my stomach! they resigned but they need to go to jail.

This really breaks my heart and they totally deserve jail time because they knew exactly what they were doing to that poor woman, so unnecessary, man they really get on my last nerve🙄🙄

They need prison time. If you go on the street and dislocate someone’s shoulder and break their arm, you would a pretty lengthy sentence.

No words 😡😡😡😡my nan had dementia and it killed her, she was like a 2yr old. That poor woman and her family. I hope they get justice, uniform or not that's abuse of a vulnerable, severely mentally impaired elderly woman. That's serious here in the uk, officer or not your going to prison for it.

He wanted to hurt her. It was turning him on. You could see the rush he got from the power he had over her. What a sicko! I feel sorry for his gf or wife or ANY female or weaker member of his family. This kind of cold-heartedness doesn't just come out of nowhere. I can almost guarantee he has done this or something similar to another in the past.

Like I said it was a stupid decision, that's very hypocritical of y'all we all enjoy abusing power and different forms it's not about power it's about making a dumb decision. If he looked up her information if he could and did everything the right way and all of a sudden he says to his partner I'm glad I found out because I was going to take her down you all would still cry over it and make a big deal out of it. Everyone nowadays is damned if they do damned if they don't. It's like when that cop shot that one girl for trying to stab the other girl and everyone acted like they lost someone special or it was another black life lost...umm no sorry if someone was trying to attack you with a knife would you want the cop to shoot them. What if that girl was trying to stab the president and a secret agent shot her y'all would still say it was wrong. this generation is like a South Park episode.

The fact that you went out your day to defend a cop who enjoys his job way more after he does things like this, by the weight she was 80 pounds you would definitely be able to notice how tossing her around is way easier than the people he has handled before, abusing power in this form is definitely not acceptable, he or she wasn't talking about all men or all women but specifically him.

Extremely sad it happen to this poor lady. My grandma suffered from dementia for 8 yrs . Hearing her say I want to go home reminded me of my grams

As a person who has worked at a dementia care home. This is disgusting how can a police officer just shove a woman on the ground that’s just assault at this point he should be arrested that’s just messed up man I dunno how people have the audacity to do this 😕

There was literally no reason to hold her arm like that. There's no other way to describe this other than genuinely disgusting

@@AstralSorceress Yes, but he still hurt her. He broke her arm, used excessive force which wasn't necessary because she had dementia, and dislocated her shoulder. He wasn't even ashamed of what he did! He bragged about it and even said it was "satisfying." This is different from the other cases. The officer didn't even tell her what she was getting arrested for. I'd also be confused if I was in that situation. Also did the reporter say she gave back the money? My point still stands

this poor woman, she is harmless and didn’t deserve this. I feel so bad she was picking flowers, this made me cry.....why did they do this to her! they should be fired.......i can’t believe someone would do this she could be a grandmother I honestly am so sad and want to cry... this is sick... there asses better go to jail

My father had Alzheimer’s disease. One day years ago, he got lost on a walk in his hometown, which he had walked many times before. Another elderly man picked him up & drove him to an area he remembered. Gratitude for his kindness!!! 🙏🏻💕 RIP dad...😔💗

I know this is hard to see. However I also know that some people wouldn't be able to recognize it. My dad has it and a lot of people we know still don't realize it. My Uncle died from Alzheimer's. So to these officers she was just resisting. Even a small 80 woman can do a lot of damage. They might have thought she was on drugs, who knows. As far as the joking, if they don't joke about things the horrible things they see will get to them.

my grandma whose 79 has dementia since the past 3 years and its been just the last 6 months that i have been living with her…i was so shocked to see her mental ability deteriorate so much every week….we need to be more compassionate…im still learning new things everyday…people with dementia always feel lost inside..they always feel the need to go somewhere..to be somewhere..they dont feel settled…so many times my grandma picks up flowers on the road feeling lost…she would wear my specs and say its hers and then i have to remind her they’re mine not hers…you need a LOT of patience…a hell lot to not lose your mind and voice….i graduated high school last year and living with her has made me realise dementia is not easy to deal with..its like youre trapped inside your own body and your mind doesnt listen to you

Just a update: The family sued and was awarded 3 million. Both officers were fired. The male cop got 6 years prison and the female only got a year gor ratting on her partner. Happy ending.😂

How terrible. Such a beautiful and innocent woman that could be compared to a clueless child being treated like that, it’s heartbreaking. She even gave the items she stolen back she was in no way needed to be treated like that.
