So, if you're stealing electricity, and the cops can easily trace the wiring to your RV, then why aren't you arrested? Or is it easier to just let PG&E raise rates on people to cover the losses from these thefts? And if you disable a traffic light and a crash occurs, why aren't you arrested? If Al Queda or ISIS hacked into government computers and disabled a traffic light to cause injuries or death to people, wouldn't they get arrested? Should the tourists who are flying into the newly-renamed airport be told to avoid that intersection?

years ago in san francisco in the 90s some stupid politician decided to put a stop sign on geary boulevard at an extremely busy intersection, i drove through there one day and there were multiple fender benders because drivers didn't expect to see a stop sign. it was a disaster.

Meanwhile the Oakland coliseum parking lot is just sitting there. Oakland could set up showers, food and services inside the old Oracle arena. And give free A's tickets so the stadium looks full

Why bother to put the lights back up? The stop signs don't cost anything to operate and maintain. In my small town, they took out 3 red/green/yellow traffic lights right downtown and, replaced them with 4 way stops.. Traffic has never flowed better!

Aluminum is about 1/5 the current price of copper so this might help. But copper is generally preferred due to it's expansion / contraction properties. Aluminum expansion / contraction loosens electrical connections over time leading to electrical fires. There is a reason we don't use aluminum wiring in our homes.

I should also add, Airbus likely chooses aluminum over copper, a> because aluminum is lighter weight which saves airlines fuel costs down the road and b> most of the aircraft is built from aluminum so Airbus has a ready supply of it and the tooling to work with it and c> aircraft are highly maintained so the mechanics likely re-righten electrical connections as part of their normal maintenance routine (reducing the risk of fire.)

Hey can you send them over to Boston so they can take down some of our 1 million traffic lights?

it's "easier said than done" because you let it continue. You're just making it easy for these people to hover just above rock bottom. You have to hit bottom in order to fix your own life.
