Cop Speeds & Harasses Bmxers (In A 20mph Speed Zone)

This joke of a police officer comes to you from Johnston City Illinois...
We had a group of avid riders chaperoning a child when this officer sped past us in a school zone. I shrugged my shoulders as he past & he didn't like that very much. This is a disgusting way to treat people.

That sucks cops should focus on real crime
If he was actually looking for a felon why did he waste so much time on kids riding BMX I swear I hate the police they scare me.
Nothing like some abuse of authority. I guess with that attitude someone definitely skipped de-escalation training. He could've came back to see why you put your hand up, informed you (wether it be true or not) what the proper speed is, and asked any regular police-type questions without being such a dick about it. I'm pretty sure when school isn't in session the speed limit is the same as the rest of the road, but that's still no reason to be as pissy as he was especially when you were apologizing the whole time. This dick clearly wanted it to escalate. You're probably fortunate other cops (witnesses) showed up.

+J. Parrish He clearly saw us in the road and was still accelerating as he passed.. The weird thing is he knew everyone else because I was the only one from out of town. He acted like he needed to "know who I was & why I'm in that town"... I'm 90% sure both of those cops saw me, 30 minutes earlier, riding my bike right in front of them.

+Darren Harman Bmx He was doing 35 in a 20. For some weird reason he tried saying it was a 40mph. Can't be 40 in front of a school.

Actually, no they can't. And yes, these police officers DID harass these individuals, and on top of that violated their rights.
