You definitely gave some GREAT advice on WAITING for a good deal. I got in a hurry and bought a new complete bike back in October and have a TON of money in it. I was cruising Craigslist for a better bike for my Wife and scored a sweet deal on a Kink Gap XL for $150 in December and then I picked up a WTP Trust (for myself) in March for $200. Not bragging on the deals I got, just saying I wish I hadn't gotten into a hurry and invested so much in buying the new complete. I like my $200 bike every bit as much (if not more) than the newer complete bike. Also in my opinion you have the right idea on how to build up your 2 bikes, just might switch to some more trail-friendly treads. As always, awesome video!

Nearly gave up on looking and was about to drop $600 on a brand new Sunday. Found a gt mach pro for 150. The only thing is they converted it to a 7 speed??? So now I have a project that will make it all worth it.

+Jukebox I seriously bought the whole bike for 200 dollars. I ended up taking some extra time and sold the Tree/Gsport wheels for twice what I got the whole bike for.. It's not easy to find a deal like this but they will come around every once in a whilr.

Offer up and Let Go are really good spots to look.

That is interesting you noticed. The terms for these parts are: *"RHD" (Right hub drive) *"LHD" (Left hub drive) *"Bi-directional" (Swappable hub that can be Right or Left hand drive) In other bicycle sports, the drive side doesn't matter & doesn't change the riding characteristics of the bike... In freestyle bmx grinding on things is popular. Most riders learn to grind on one side that feels most comfortable to them. If that side happens to be the same side as your drive gears you can easily destroy your rear hub & chainwheel by grinding on the chain.. To prevent breaking your drive gears, you can choose a drive side that is opposite from your grinding side. It is mostly popular for BMX and the majority of companies make their hubs in a left had drive option as well.. You won't see those types of selections in other bicycle sports since there is no direct need for that option. If you are road touring or mountain biking there is no direct need to have an LHD set up so you will all most never see it.

I ride an endurance bike and a single speed/fixed gear. I used to ride BMX when I was young...I think everyone did. I am 46 years old. My last BMX was a 1983 Diamondback Harry Leary Turbo. BMX bikes sure have gotten smaller since back in the day.

BMX sure has changed over the years. My last BMX was a 1983 Diamondback Harry Leary Turbo (way before your time). Back then Diamondback was actually a good bike, I see they are junk in Walmart now. I ride a SE Draft single speed/fixed gear, in big bike world we call it a flip-flop hub. I also ride a Nashbar endurance road bike with all Shimano Sora groupset. It is interesting to see how tiny modern BMX bikes are in comparison..if I recall my BMX had 24 inch wheels.

If you get breaks get s chrome wheel in the back

I'm gonna pick up a haro 20 inch for 50 bucks if your wanting to find a cheap bike i recommend Facebook market place or offer up lastly offer up you can actually find bike under 100 bucks on there all day and this is in Cali shits expensive but not if you know how to look

I found a good bike at a bike shop and it's way more expensive and it's 419.99 it's a gt teamed serious and it is left hand drive cause I'm left foot forward and I've been running rhd the gt is in layaway right now but it will soon be ridden keep up the good work and keep shredding and I'm very sorry about your girlfriend leaving you keep your head up man you will find a girl that's better for you and feel free to sub to my channel

No it's not actually. Bicycles these days have fully sealed bearings and powdercoated paintjobs... It's the exact same as washing your car to be completely honest.. Some hubs actually incorporate needle bearings which are used in vehicle hub assembly.. If you can car wash a car, you can carwash a bike.. There is nothing on a bike that is more susceptible to moisture than anything on a car.

Most metals gets that same rust. You can only see it on this bike because the paint on the frame is transparent. All frames rust like that underneath the paint besides Ti. You just can't see it with regular paint jobs.
