At Athletic Performance Academy we talk about the Five S's of Fitness (Suppleness, Skill, Speed, Strength and Stamina).
Skill is a vital aspect of Athleticism. I like to subdivide Skill into Balance, Coordination and Reaction Speed.
This video explores Coordination Training drills that focus on locomotive coordination- those 'movement skills' that help us get from A to B.
We look at crawling, jumping, hopping and other movement sequences that can be incorporated into warm ups or used as part of a movement syllabus during a training session.
