I'm just surprised how well it aged on the live action crossover.
I wonder which is worse, to have these people patronize you, or have them say outright that they think you're a freak?
Discrimination is more than just hate. It’s also belittling and patronizing. As someone on the autism spectrum, I know this firsthand.

I think that these things on the sides of his head are his ears, he would look more like a fox if these things were fur and his ears were at the top of his head, but these character are meant to look more like racial caricatures than the animals they represent.

What was so important about the Godfather's clown being in that scene?! Why are they just standing there instead of at least saying "thank you"?! Why does this scene remind me of the hippie girls from Fritz the Cat?!

The clown was there to manipulate Mr. Bear into joining the mafia and a boxing match.

It reminds you because it's a parody on social tolerance. Some people want to embrace it and accept it because it's new and hop and fascinating but don't truly understand the culture or it's struggles. Others merely pretend to tolerate differences because they have to, even if deep down they either don't care or have their own prejudices.

This is a movie that used racist tropes to deliver an anti-racist message. It's so clear in scenes like this that Bakshi understood different types of anti-black racism, especially this condescending "liberal" kind.
