Captain Sternn's Trial | Heavy Metal | Creature Features
On a space station, captain Lincoln F. Sternn is on trial for numerous serious charges. Fiste takes the stand upon being called but his perjury is overthrown when the Loc-Nar causes him to blurt out incriminating statements about Sternn before he shifts into a muscular form of himself.

Based on the fantastical illustrated magazine HEAVY METAL, producer IVAN REITMAN enlists the help of some of Hollywood's animation masters to create the otherworldly tale of a glowing green orb from outer space that spreads destruction throughout the galaxy. Only when encountered by its one true enemy, to whom it is inexplicably drawn, will goodness prevail throughout the universe. Richly and lavishly drawn, the vignettes of the orb's dark victories include the character voices of John Candy, Harold Ramis and a pounding soundtrack by Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult, Cheap Trick, Devo, Donald Fagen, Don Felder, Grand Funk Railroad, Sammy Hagar, Journey, Nazareth, Stevie Nicks, Riggs, and Trust. Highly imaginative and full of surprising special effects, HEAVY METAL set the standard for the alternative contemporary animation. An intoxicating experience not to be missed!

Ahhh, the original Heavy Metal animated movie. Back when Heavy Metal was actually interesting. I seriously doubt a movie like this could be made today. Too many whiny twitter bullies and their armies of bots would be shocked, SHOCKED I say, by such entertainment. Of course, the other 99 percent of the population would LOVE something like this. Good news, then. You can still get the original. And if you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. The humor is all over the place, mixed with equal measures of horror, fantasy and sci-fi. There's something for everyone in this film.
@aaaaa-nw8hc

That's true.
I'm sorry, but the confluence of Sternn's plan and the Loc-Nar's purpose and intervention makes zero sense. Fiste's transformation and rage was clearly the result of the Loc-Nar, which means it was unplanned by Sternn. So how does Sternn know that Fiste's rage will subside while paying him at the trap door? And how did it serve the Loc-Nar to do that to Fiste in the first place? Like... the Loc-Nar's involvement should have derailed Sternn's plan, or it should have been left out of the story entirely (because it's pointless) and that transformation is just something Fiste can do and that was part of the plan the whole time. It's like the script for this part was written in 15 minutes by a 12-year-old.

@@StinkyBibgis I believe the implication is that Trump was a "russian asset" as the media reported 24/7 for 5 years straight, until an actual federal court trial proved that infact, he was not. Infact it proved those involved with the Steele Dossier (the DNC) was collaborating with russian spies that helped fabricate the dossier for the FBI, so they could use FISA warrants to target/persecute Trump, legally. Apparently there's still people that cling onto that lie, and thus we call this condition TDS (Trump Derangment Syndrome). A condition where individuals blame Trump for everyday misfortunes and Trump is the boogeyman to be feared, hiding under every rock and constantly existing in the brains of people like this, which derails any rational thoughts.
