    Add lots of peeled garlic to the potatoes as they cook... Mash away. Yum

    I'm from the Boston mass area and growing up had the pleasure of meeting Julia Child Many times in person always a wonderful human being very funny and kind It is quite true if you had the pleasure of meeting her that even just one time was enough to know that she was great Thanks to this channel for remembering her ! As always great work keep it up !

    If you add chopped hard-boiled eggs to tuna salad you have one of the best tasting "salads" on the planet.

    Baking powder in mash potatoes make them so light airy and fluffy they pretty much melt in your mouth... They are so good!!!

    @@kellyo8324 I've never tried instant... But I don't know why it would not in them too it is potatoes they're are just dehydrated, I plan on trying it my self as well I didn't think too until I watched this video.. You don't add much about a tsp for a pot of pot like you'd make for your family.. They turn out so airy it's crazy, they literally melt when you put them in your mouth.. I started doing it over 20 years ago after I seen it in a farmers almanac.. Go a head and try it.. It's not going to mess them up in any way it has no taste it just makes them super light and fluffy.     @@christy032866 I use my grandmother's pressure cooker the bottom is thick and it has more even heating than all the cast iron

    Cast iron. Well seasoned. I use a small one , just for cooking eggs. I use a larger on for meats and hashbrowns.

    I don't know about underwhelming? That was alot of research to take in, some of it more thought provoking then others but I got some ideas from it that were new.

    8 Min is all you need for perfect hard-boiled eggs. the minute you reach 8 min, submerge them in an ice bath and let them sit a few min.Peeling is easier, the egg isn't overcooked AND the gg isn't dry or green.

    I take the goobie out. The goobie is that rubbery glob that's connected to the yolk. I find it unappealing.

    I use a miracle whisk, the type with a spiral of thin wire wrapped around a thicker wire to beat the eggs. This traps that stringy thing every time.

    Salt before cooking, but add pepper afterwards as it burns on heat.

    I like my yolks partially raw. I got the idea from my the elder, my mom was taking care of. She was was forced to let me call her grandma. Cause she never had children of her own.

    Cast iron is not worth the trouble. You can get the same result from non-stick

    8:11 yeah.. lol they ARE bland if your using whites only... then they show adding an entire chili to burn the hell out of your mouth to "add flavor"... yup, its bland lol

    The protein in milk toughens your eggs. A little fresh orange juice also works beautifuly in scrambled eggs.

    If you need tips to make omelets, mashed potatoes, hashbrowns, sausages, care of cast iron skillets ect. then this is for you. I found it underwhelming.

    Some can not have milk...my Mother uses cottage cheese. It's cultured and more digestible than plain milk. 😉

    Even better yet than these suggestions is....use a small amount of sour cream in eggs, and cream cheese in mashed potatoes
