    Try cutting your oranges across the middle, not across the stem and blossom end. You will get more juice and it might not be as messy

    I was just going to say the same thing! Butter, cream and cheese in literally everything. The average family size is 2.7 people so these smaller healthier meals really resonate with me

    I agree! We often comment, "who EATS like that?". Cheese sauce, cream cheese, cheese! I saw someone buy a case of cream cheese in an azure haul for a family of three.... 😱

    Just a suggestion… try cutting your brussel sprouts before you roast them. It makes them crispier. 👍🏻😋

    For a bbq sauce there is a recipe I made last year and loved it. It’s in the Ball complete book of home preserving (page 256) and it’s called victorian bbq sauce. I do not like sweet and savory together, but I love this recipe.

    2 1/4 c ketchup 6 Tbs cider vinegar 3 Tbs Worcestershire sauce 3/4 c brown sugar 3 Tbs molasses 1 Tbs smoked paprika 1 1/4 tsp mustard powder 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper Bring to a boil , then simmer 10 min. ( or when it has reached desired thickness) Amazing Bbq sauce!

    That flatbread looked amazing. Thanks for showing us how to make healthy lighter meals for two. As a party of one I often end up with way too many leftovers and having to freeze large quantities of chili or lasagna or whatever or having to eat it six days in a row. Needless to say putting lots of servings back into the freezer kind of defeats the aim of the pantry challenge. Last week I didn't mind eating the white chicken chili or the frittata I made for several days in a row because they were so good if I say so myself. The problem is when I make something I don't love as much. :)

    Thank you so much! I completely understand that and love freezing in small portions for exactly that reason once o get a good stock and variation we have homemade “TV” dinners every night 😊 glad your food this past week turned out so awesome!

    I thought I was the only person I the world who's favorite meal is spaghetti with meat sauce. It has also been my favorite my entire life. I'm glad to find a kindred spirit. LOL

    Yep, I cook for one. I often freeze leftovers to use within the next new months. That gives me variety. I'm also really good at changing up leftovers into a different meal for added variety.

    Week 4???? Pasta Night??? Morgan! There ain't nothing wrong with some excellent mushroom pasta and marinara to make an evening alone with the pup perfect. I hope you guys are staying out of trouble ;) and enjoying a rather mild winter, I can see the tulip bulbs here already peeking their little heads up:)

    sesame oil added at the end of cooking add so much more flavour (it looses a lot during cooking especially long long crockpot style cooking). I usually stir it in at the end to give that extra taste lift

    If you put your fave jam or jelly on those rice cakes then put it in the nuker for 15-20 seconds it has the mouthfeel (and heart feels) of Carmel corn! Amazing!

    My Aunt Liz made the best BBQ sauce.. 1 cup Brown sugar 1/4 cup Vinegar 1 large Onion (chopped or sliced) 1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce 2 TBSP chopped or dried parsley 24 oz Ketchup Cook together until slightly thickened and dark in color

    Instead of calling it leftovers, call them planned overs.... and also when grapes come on sale you could put some in the freezer for chicken salads..or they make wonderful snacks as well.

    I recommend chopping them up super small and adding them into stronger flavored things like pasta sauce. For a lot of people I know it is a texture thing
