There is no life sentence in Brazil, he could get 10 years in prison, in the best scenario. And he's a brazilian native, the brazilian government can't extradite their own citizens.

The department of corrections ( If you want to call it that ) is a fluke and out of bounds. A convicted murderer escaping from prison is unacceptable. Staff needs to be replaced.......

The food must have been really bad.

Look this guy has no survival skills whatsoever. Do police have trackers? Are they actively tracking this guys foot prints through the woods? To some this may seem outlandish but I can assure it’s a real science. I’m a retired Green Beret, attended the Combat Tracking School in Malaysia, recognized as the best jungle trackers on the planet. In the heavily wooded area of the Pennsylvania woods he can easily be tracked. There is always a sign. When he was spotted on a trail cam at night they should have had experienced trackers on his trail by sunrise. This guy is obviously moving at night and holding up during the day. This guy is not an experienced survivalist, it’s the that cops and authorities are not good at tracking and closing the circle on this guy.

Maximum security prison is hard to escape from, they got armed guards, barb wired fences, search lights and K9 units. Inside the prison, they also got thick double (metal) doors and you need a pass to get through one after the other. I don't know what kind of jail this guy was in but how did he get out is beyond me but it happens. If they find him, chances are they'll shoot him down but they may give him a chance to surrender. He's a convicted murderer who stabbed his gf to death, he might get what's coming to him soon. He didn't even escape the area and he's been missing since the day before yesterday 😂😂

Because by law you must pay for your crimes here then you get stripped of your citizenship (or residency) or if you were here illegally then it's one less step to take but they must still serve their time. It makes total sense because if not, the A-hole would be home free. We don't jail american citizens when they are convicted of a crime outside the US and other countries don't jail their citizens when they have comitted a crime outside their own countries.
