Convert two handle kitchen sink faucet to single handle

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

How to Replace a Kitchen Faucet With a Single Handle the quick and easy. This is how I replaced the old outdated kitchen faucet with a new Single Handle Faucet. I am not a carpenter and this video is for entertainment use only. This is not a How-To or DIY (Do It Yourself) video, this is how I did it type of video. Should not be attempted by untrained personnel, water hazard, shock hazard, noise pollution, death, and destruction can result. Only you can prevent forest fires and are responsible for your actions, proceed under your own risk.
Here's the breakdown.
Shut off water lines
Remove nut holding side sprayer (if you have one)
Remove water lines from the old faucet
Remove from shut off valves
Remove nuts holding the old faucet
Lift faucet out
remove sprayer hold (if you had one)
Clean area
Apply silicone sealant to deck plate and/or sink-hole cover
Now start installing the new faucet in reverse order from above.

I know this is a few years old - but TG for KZread :) thank you for sharing this. I've wanted to upgrade my 30+ year old sink faucet with something a little more modern but I wasn't sure what i was supposed to do with the Hot/Cold faucet holes in the sink. Now I'm confident I can do it all by myself.

Great video at a great pace. My only question was when you reconnected the shut-off valve. You hurried through that just a tad and left a bit of a great area. It's second nature to those who know what they're doing, but to those of us who are Step 1, Step 2, Step 3...we need arrows and crayons and pictures. LOL

Great video! I bought a similar faucet replacement for my old 2 handle kitchen faucet. Only thing that im most concerned about is the weight of these new single hole faucets. I'm afraid that if I don't add some reinforcement to my sink the weight of the faucet will eventually bend my sink in the back. Any suggestions?

The deck plate 0:52 (on the left) should help distribute the weight of the new faucet along the sink. Let me know how it works out for you.

Hello, I haven’t see water filter for this particular faucet since this is the main kitchen faucet. If you want to a just a filtered water faucet can use that extra hole that I put the blank plate over as a filtered water faucet. Check out video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZaCcsK9-Xc7QYM4.html Hope that helps.

Nicely done and well lighted video. You might want to go ahead and not start every sentence with the words “go ahead,” to make it sound more professional and less redundant.
