Ginger, I understand the pain and the emotion that you felt when hearing “Constance”. I lost my Dad to Dementia in 2016 and this song made me emotional too. The line “It’s hard to lose and wonder why.” really hit me. Everyone loses so much with these horrible diseases. I believe that Courtney (Spiritbox’s singer) lost her Grandmother recently and this song was a way for her to honor her and to also spread awareness about the effects of Alzheimer’s and Dementia. The positive here is that “Constance” is a wonderful and powerful song with a very important and heartfelt message (and Spiritbox is a wonderful band) and I believe that it has went a long way to help further the cause of Alzheimer’s and Dementia Awareness… and hopefully… I pray that God willing… there will be a cure some day soon. Big hugs and thank you all for your reactions and for sharing great music with us. ❤️🙏🏻🤗

Ginger - you're not the only one crying. I've watched this so many times, yet this is hitting hard today. I almost lost my Dad to a brain bleed yesterday. Thanks to quick action by my Mum, the ambulance crew and the Spanish health system (he had surgery yesterday afternoon to relieve the pressure), he has been saved from major paralysis. His speech is back to normal, and he's awaiting another scan to confirm that he's OK. Whatever else he'll have to deal with as a result remains to be seen - but we still have him.

What a beautiful reaction to this song, Courtney was expressing her regret of not being able to see her grandmother before she passed because of lockdown. This hit really close to the heart with a lot of people. It's one of the reasons I love this band as much as I do. Thank you for this reaction.

7:00 This.. this is what makes life beautiful. This is what makes memories so important, what makes memories of people so important. The joy that instantly filled the room is what she left behind and is amazing to see play out right in front of us. That great feeling of joy is what she left behind for you both as a couple together.

This is only the second time I’ve watched this video because it’s you guys. Hugs to you, Ginger. ♥️ My great-grandmother struggled with Alzheimer’s when I was in high school. She and my grandma lived with us because my grandma couldn’t care for her alone. She was like a toddler-she had to wear diapers, she’d fight anyone who came close to her, and she constantly called everyone “Harvey” which was my great-grandfather’s name who had passed away several years prior. I’m with you….I never want to live like that.

My Dad has Alzheimer's, watching this video is like watching the decline of the person who was the bravest, strongest and most resourceful person I have ever known into who he has become now. Also I saw my Grandad die from it, I still remember a scrawny skeleton with wild white hair shouting and swearing at the hospice nurses, when healthy he was the kindest sweetest old Grandad. This vile illness not only destroys the memories of those that have it but tries to destroy the memories their loved one's had of them. This song with the video hits hard and makes me cry every time I watch it.

This is a heartbreaking video for most. But if you've experienced the loss of someone through Alzheimers (if they're no longer with us or are still physically here and lost in themselves) then this hits hard. I've left similar instructions with wife. Give me a bottle of good whisky, a bottle of pills and then she is to go out for the day and do something we both would love.

I think this is one of the most important songs and videos of the last several years, at least. I have watched this video directly and via reactions at least 40 times and not once have I been able to avoid tearing up or full blown slob crying. As painful the experience, every time, it's equally beautiful that the feelings are still every bit as powerful and that this message can reach so many others that have never experienced similar.

This is one of the toughest song for Courtney to sing. A tribute to her grandmother who passed away and she couldn’t visit her because of the pandemic. The video contains two story lines the first one is Courtney in her house feeling trap because she cant see her grandmother. The other one is the story of Constance the grand mother of the video director who is suffering from Alzheimer and dementia. I understand your pain I lost all my grand parents. Is really difficult watch that video.
