    I am absolutely terrified of heights. My father-in-law(Mohawk) was an Ironworker(361), his logic was... you walk around all day, you don't fall right? Same thing up there! That kind of logic doesn't process in my brain.

    No man! I haven’t seen personally but there has been a guy on the same job as me who is 280lbs and they didn’t break. Cable is super strong!! 💪🏼

    I'm assuming you have a man in the middle of the joist connecting the x brace and cutting the rig loose. He deserves a little face time too on that camera of yours. R D local 25 Detroit ( retired )

    Nope. Joists are bolted, so they don’t need to be braces right away. The bridging crew typically comes behind us. We had remote disconnect hooks on this job so our rigger on the ground cut the crane loose when we finished connecting a piece.

    I just started as an apprentice in Ontario and I'm getting 28 an hour plus benefits and pension. The journeyman rate is 46. So yeah pretty good.
