Okay, DO NOT use a Rode VXLR for this. I'm pretty sure he's dumping 48 Volts directly into the lavalier. This would probably fry more sensitive lav mics. You need to get the Rode VLXR+. The PLUS on the end means it converts 48 Volt phantom power to 3-5 Volt plug in power. Movo has a similar, less expensive adapter, which is pretty good, but it doesn't work with TS 3.5mm (mono) lavaliers. (VXLR doesn't do mono plugs either, by the way.) VXLR+ is the best all-around adapter for this kinda thing.

Another KZreadr had mentioned specifically that it was a TRRS input on that XY mic module, and then I noticed that it look like a TRS connector that you were plugging in from your lapel mic. Can either be plugged in? Or do you need an adapter if you have one or the other? The manual for this thing isn't very clear when it comes to that.

Consegue me ajudar? When I plugged in my lav I could only hear the left side and not sure why. I’m afraid I might’ve fried it somehow. Also I mistakenly bought a TRRS version of this. But thankfully it came with a TRS adapter. Idk if this may be the issue or I did something with the setting. Also I bought a 1/4 male to 1/8 female adapter and thought this would work as well. But so far it doesn’t. Something worth returning? Please help and thanks again! I’m a newbie.

I found a way to use these lav mics with h6 phantom power xlr inputs by using rode vxlr+ to xlr power converter adaptor . What it does is, it transforms 12- 48 volts phantom power to 3-5 volts which is required for lav mics with 3.5 mm input.( Doesn't damage the lav mics in this scenario) P.s- Got this info after hours of researching and thought it would be great to share it with you.

Good morning! I connect a tie microphone to the mini jack connector on the XY microphone on Zoom H6. Then on the screen in equaliz. XY only one X channel works, while the other Y does not work. As a result, after recording, I only hear the left channel on the headphones. Importantly, I connect the "Rode Stereo Videomic Pro Rycote" microphone to the same jack connector on the XY Zoom H6 microphone, and here two X and Y channels are working, which can be seen in the equalizer. I also connect the "Rode VXLR mini jack to XLR" to one of the 4 XLR connectors in ZOOM H6, a tie microphone and zero response, equalizer. shows no "volume levels" movement. In the same way I connect the "Rode Stereo Videomic Pro Rycote" and the level is already jumping, the sound is there. I used the advice on KZread, turned on the ZOOM H6 menu "Plugin Power" on ON, and when I used the XLR connectors the Phantom to ON option for each of the 4 XLR Zooms. I would like to add that when I connect a tie microphone to a computer sound card and use a recording program, the sound is also recorded in one channel. When I connect a tie microphone to a Canon 7D Mark II reflex camera, after recording the sound "plays" only in one channel. My microphone is www.cyfrowe.pl/zoom-apf-1-ak accessories-p.html Please, answer Marek

What if you have 2x Dynamic microphones connected through the XLR that are using 48 V and you want to connect 2x lavalier microphones to the other 2 inputs through XLR? From what I can see you can't change the voltage per XLR port. So from what I understand it is either one or the other is that correct?

I don't believe you have to use any phantom power at all for the mic to work, it only needs a very little output of volts - even 12v can damage your mic - there should be enough power without phantom , or setting it to the plug in power if that's possible via xlr

I just did this and I did have to follow all of that for mine to work at all. This was for the inputs on the body with an XLR adapter, I don't think I had to do this for the plug-in on the side of the capsule.

I do not have the H4n PRO so i don't know if there are issues with compatibility there. As for the BOYA BY M1, have you followed the tutorial to the letter and have you tested the Boya independently? The BOYA takes batteries, have you checked the batteries?
