    1. Exercise, power posing 2. Scents (make u feel more confident so u act more confident) 3. Acts of kindness (buy someone a coffee at Starbucks)- helper's high, similar to runner's high 4. Do sth socially risky (ask boss for raise, learn a new skill, confess to crush) 5. Play (anything that u see as play, where u just let loose and arent afraid of making a fool of yourself) 6. Self talk (affirmations dnt work, instead use "I am willing to" sentences. E.g- "I am willing to work hard to learn new dance moves so ladies love me" instead of "I'm awesome at the dancefloor"(when ur not). 7. Use an "Awesome Log". It can be on a notebook or electronic. Make a list of all the awesome things you accomplished and y ur awesome. Update it every day.

Talking to strangers and making eye contact helps me be more confident. It’s like a catch-22 but if you already have some momentum this helps. Also learning something new everyday and planning your day beforehand helps a lot too

No. Affirmations manifest into the universe what you want. The more you affirm, the more likely you are to believe it and make it a reality

It’s proven that if affirmations don’t agree with your subconscious, or if you have an undiagnosed infection like Lyme disease, for example, they can actually be toxic and detrimental to your health. Look up toxic positivity. And faith without works is dead. You can affirm all you want, if you don’t do all the necessary steps, you won’t get it.

I am a counselor and I see that affirmations can work IF someone can believe it on some level. The problem with affirmations is some people will just continue to resist them because it does not feel true on any level. I think you both are accurate on some level…sometimes they work and for some people I see that they don’t

Love this. Especially the affirmations part. I tried for about a year and a half to repeat positive affirmations, this made me realize there is a disconnect and difference between our natural/ learned being and who we aspire to be. We can absolutely become who we aspire to be, we just have to be more willing to work for what we aspire to be, rather than believe we are that aspiration right off the bat and thinking it’ll click overnight. Takes work, effort, time, practice and we can be whoever we want to be.

Thanks so much. You are going on my gratefulness log. My suggestion is to take 7 of your boosters and plan one for each day of the week for one month until they become habits and then picking 7 more for the next month. Example: Sunday-Visit local coffee shop and just pick someone to buy a cup of coffee; thank them for the opportunity to extend kindness - do this for four Sundays. Monday - Write an inspirational post for social media, asking nothing in return- do this for four weeks. Tuesday-Take a walk in near your favorite water source, pond, lake, stream, river - regardless of the weather-four weeks of this will boost your mood; can't help it- that's what being in touch with nature does...you get the idea! Hey Distilled Man...thanks for allowing me to contribute to your excellent list of boosters. All the best!

I agree the first step to boost your self esteem is by optimizing your life, practice and TAKE ACTION! However, it doesn't get to the cause and make it permanent . To truly have high self esteem and be confident you have to dive in deep into your shadow, your subconscious, the thoughts that you have disowned, all the beliefs, all the triggers , all the traumas and all the insecurities that you have . ACCEPT THEM, RELEASE THEM AND OWN THEM. I actually teach this type of work, and in this period of time i'm offering 10 qualified people free coaching by Sunday DEC 8 at 2pm CET. If you're interested in having high self esteem hit me up on my Instagram "i have low self esteem" on @theboringkaps ;) have a nice day!

we did not evolve to be alert to dangers. that instinct was built into us from the day man was put on this earth. that instinct didnt just pop up in our brains one day, cause if that were the case the human race wouldve ended a long time ago
