I am in the process of converting from non-practicing protestant to Catholic at age 49! I had my first confession last week. I've been in a terrible conflict with my 3 kids a d have been literally suicidal, only haven't done it bc I don't want to go to hell. I have had relief from those feelings since my confession! I told my Priest I've given my kids to Our Lady because that's all I can do for now. Thank You God, Thank You Jesus and his Blessed Mother Mary!

Pray the rosary and divine mercy it will help tremendously. I added 7 sorrows of Mary also when i needed help bec someone is bkackmailing my son. I prayed so hard the 7 sorrows of Mary, Our Lady comes to my aid the one blackmailing my son did not push and now i am looking for his fb page and social media, they are all gone ❤

I have watched this video several times and learn new things each time. I try to go weekly or bi-weekly. I was away from the sacrament for 10 years and I told myself I will never do that again. When I question myself and say I don’t need it or feel the priest is going to be upset with me for going too frequently I realize that is not coming from the Holy Spirit. Recently I was flying to Europe and wanted to go to confession before I left so I made the decision to make an appointment with the priest for confession. I was amazed how delighted the priest was that I made that step. It definitely changed my view on how a priest views confession. It is such a beautiful sacrament that is underused. Thank you Fr. Chris for doing these videos. It truly has been a blessing for me.

I have always been terrified of confession. Part of my fear has been a lack of knowledge. After completing RCIA over 30 years ago, I thought I understood the faith. Listening to channels like this over the past three months, I’ve realized how little I knew and how that lack of knowledge made me vulnerable to fear, temptation and sin. How I wish I could have known these things sooner! I simply had no idea what was available, where to get it or what I was missing. It took a lifetime of avoidable mistakes to recognize the great gift information like this is. Please keep it coming. Your words are literally life-giving water to thirsty souls.

@po18guy I very much agree! Which of why it’s fortunate that things have changed a lot in the past year. My husband and I began going to confession every 2 weeks after switching to a church with the SSPX. The change has produced tremendous healing and spiritual progress. I also not only lost my fear of confession, I look forward it. I think the problem was the Novus Ordo approach to confession. Because of a disability, I was unable to use the kneeler at the edge of the room, and had to confess face-to-face. I was so freaked out by it that I went the absolute minimum. The private confessional box at the SSPX has been a much needed change for me. Even when I’m pretty sure the priest knows who I am, I feel a greater sense of security. Maybe it’s crazy, but it works for me.

This lecture is worth hearing over and over! I once was a supporter of your order going back at least for the previous two Father Josephs. I always loved receiving the beautiful cards which I would then send to friends and family for their Mass intentions. I loved receiving beautiful thank you notes from the Fathers afterwards knowing that I was in their prayers and that I was also offered up in their Mass intentions with other MIC supporters. This is the 2nd time I listen to this and each time I have made a better confession. Thank you Father for always explaining the Catechism of our Holy Mother Church. doing confession in one of the most wonderful things i've ever done. i felt so blessed after crying my heart out to the priest for all the sins (i remembered) that i confessed. hearing "i forgive you" made me feel the love God has for me.

Thank you Fr. Chris for explaining clearly the role of the Confessor, Confessee and seal of Confession. So many lives including innocent lives of children have been destroyed by priests who have misused this blessing by telling them that their sins will be absolved and continue abusing them. I pray that God may heal those broken hearts and body and for the priests who have committed this grave sin that they may seek true repentance and live a transformed life in the love of God. This talk must be listened by all parents so that they can prepare their children better on how to identify the signs that can take them away from God.

Thank you for posting these life saving videos! Thank you for being blunt and to the point! Even as a cradle Catholic I still enjoy watching them and still learn (or “re-learn” things after aTBI)from them! I always share them, just in case someone else might need to hear them as well.🕊

Farther Cris I watch you all the time and have my daughter hooked on r videos, and I also share to all of my friends on Facebook, and other friends, but I have not been to confessions in years I have this fair of not doing it right and or saying something dumb, I have saved r three part videos on my play list but have skipped them over and watch r other ones and evin kept notes on some of them, with the Easter season here I can't wait but in a little fair of making my first confession in years, Please pray for me that I'll be in that confessional booth soon, I love you guys Father Cris and I'll be mailing out my and my daughter our Divine mercy prayer to add to the blanket of Love that you have showed to all of us and the true love Jesus has for All of us, 🙏❤️😘😂

God bless you and thank you for sharing these talks. However, please never be afraid of confession! It is a sacrament of mercy and forgiveness and it's way more important to do that than worrying about what we say. God will help you tremendously and the priest will be merciful. God bless you
