What many people dont know, is tha Carbon steels same as cement, get better with time. I mean they get harder more dense. First ting any new knife needs, is a good reprofiling and 2 to 3 at least sharpening sessions, for the steel to begin to show it's capabilities. Scandi edge provide the least edgee stability and the least edge retention, so a reprofiling to a slight convex edge bevel not oly will improve that issues a lot but also will improve it's cutting abilities and the knife will also make better and easier feathersticks. ( I wrote it for potential begginers)

@@larrybadman9965 Thanks! Unfortunately Most KZreadrs instead of learning their stuff,before begining thei KZread careers,they don't even bother. They just copy/paste,a lot of nonsense between them. I've reached a point,where I couldn't watch any knife viideo on KZread,because they all became repeatative and misinformattive in the same time. Marketing and the easy fame and money,that KZread offers,completely destroed the fixed blade knives for me.

Excellent video Boys. That wayfinder looks to be a very capable knife, not to big and not to small and you can't go wrong with a skandi grind for bushcraft. I feel the same way about leather sheaths. That look great and I did make one for my BK16 but switched to kydex cause its just less drama in the wet. Plus changed the handles. Making your kit work best for you is the way to go. Nate
