Nice batch of blades. I reviewed the Condor Trivitatta , and it's a winner in my book. I stopped buying Condors years ago cause I didn't care for the soft 1075hc on my scandi knives. Now since they have 1095hc, I gave it a go, and boy, am I very happy I did.

I live in the Outer Hebrides so it's a wee bit wet and salty so stainless works well as any walkabout usually involves the sea or sea loch. I got the Garberg in stainless when it first came out and I was fairly unimpressed so I used it fairly exclusively for 12 months and grew to rely on it. It's a tool and a bloody good one but they'll never be an emotional attachment to it. I like my Essee 4's and my 6HM with custom Kydex sheath and I'm happy to put in a bit more maintenance. I have 3 packs ready to go day, light and winter all have a stainless knife in them. Two under appreciated knives in my opinion are the Mora Kansbol which is cheap and good and the Mora Eldris with a similar profile and neck carries like a champ. Nice vid Stu and no daft £500 options. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I know exactly the Sunday sale you were looking at it took everything, all my strength not to buy the orange one. I've a matilda pack on the way too, really looking forward to it. I love Alice. I've a small collection of them. As a survival knife, I love my esee laser strike, and for my bushcraft knife, my little woods man from casstrom. I've also got a garcia Delta from Steve on the way. Sure, why not YOLO Love the vids.

I use scandi knives mostly for carving. I would definitely put my Mora carver among my favorites with its 14C28N steel that is so easy to sharpen. I have a 3 7/8 inch Puukko in 4v from Jelio Knives that is fantastic but it is so beautiful that I will never use it for batonning anything bigger than 1 1/2’’, nevertheless , it’s one of my favorite. So my workhorse would be my LT Wright GNS in 3v. I like 3v for bushcrafting but I would never get 3v for a carver as I am not able to get that fine edge that I love. Maybe is just that the 3v blades for bushcrafting are too soft for carving. What strange is that I have a convex blade in S90V that is way harder than the CPM3V but will take an edge more easily because I remove almost nothing and the edge is back. Anyway, I just want to say that 3v is not as easy to sharpen to a fine edge as people are saying even if it’s not as hard as most people are saying but it gets a working edge within a few seconds. I only have three favourites as my other scandi are all carvers. I do have a blade that I have handle with a dog leg wooden handle that I love. The dog leg handle is a variation of the coke bottle handle adding a curve down to the tail with the top of the tail rounded. It procures a great grip for chest cut. I love the handle way more than the blade. It’s not what you expected but those are my choices.
