    Love the channel Myles. Proprioceptive movement to establish the grip, is IMHO, more effective than teaching someone to find their trigger guard. We will also be faster if proprioceptive methodologies are applied. Thanks

    Great video, very helpful! I just picked up an appendix holster and was looking for how to draw from it correctly. I like how you break down how to practice each steps. Thanks!

    Great video. I picked up on some mistakes I was making on my appendix carry draw from your instruction, and will utilize those tips during my dryfire training at home. I use the Pegasus Slim Tuck Ambi Kydex holster by DeSantis. 👍

    Body type, shirt size and material are something a person needs to consider. I have really long arms and legs but a short torso. I wear a size large shirt but they're usually so long that they hang down past my rear end. I've had to have my shirts shortened to prevent them from "hanging-up" on my butt during the draw. Polo shirts made of stretchy material are more forgiving but I've found that button-up shirts seem to be made of less flexible material.

    Appendix just works best for me. You’re not giving up any speed either. I used to carry strong side. It really comes down to the shooter.

    So, when your attacker is upon you and you are using your non-dominant hand/arm to fend off the attack and/or create distance how do you quickly defeat your cover garment one handed and draw your gun without getting all tangled up?

    clear your shirt with your dominant hand. Once shirt is cleared, pin shirt off to the side with your thumb, go for grip and draw

    Of course you do, why don't you support a veteran owned company next time, they've been protecting the freedom everyone takes for granted.

    @@hairless_monkey hey I buy a lot from different companies, non veteran or veteran owned. I buy a lot of products like shirts, ammo cans, hats, flannels etc. from Black Rifle Coffee. Had holsters too from safari land and tier one before, and so many other gears. Let’s not forget one of the pioneers from the industry 5:11 Tactical. So many bags, tactical shoes, all kinds of clothing and plate carriers. Looking in now on getting the Thorax plate carrier from Haley too.

    @@hairless_monkeythis is the dumbest comment yet. Veterans and the military are not better than anyone else and should not be worshipped. Brovets like black rifle coffee and traitors like dan crenshaw are actively hurting this country and working to take away our rights. I bet you support the nra even though they have fought to TAKE AWAY our rights for DECADES.

    My personal opinion after trying many, many different appendix holsters. They suck! Viktos 2.0 is the only way.

  • @TheAxe4Ever
    @TheAxe4Ever11 ай бұрын

    I never understood the term “defeating your garment”. Clearing? Yes. Defeating? No. If you have to “defeat” something or someone, that means they are fighting you. And if your shirt is fighting you from drawing, you are starting from yet another deficit and need to change your wardrobe. Am I being nit-picky about terminology? Maybe. But my point still stands. Also, isn’t being nit-picky about everything in your training and practice what it’s all about? Also, what you demonstrated at 14:15 was not what is called “fishing”. That was bowling. “Fishing” is arching from the top.

    Define many "better" ways of carrying? Yes, a lot of choices but pretty strong statement, curious on your choice such as position and so forth?

    Absolutely correct unless you use a gun with an external safety.
