I love how the camera shakes when Conan says "Klingon's approaching!" because it's such a common technique in Star Trek when the ship is being attacked. 😂

Me too, it was so wholesome🙃 I think he needed a hug, I think he thought he was actually in trouble at first, and you can tell after Conan has his first attempt at doing the notifications he very visibly loosens up

My father and Bruce worked together for over 20 years. Amazing men who dedicated everything to 30 rock

I’m a Fire Life Safety Director at my job, and he’s required to make that announcement. I’m sure (knowing they were taping) he didn’t wanna do it but he had to. He was a good sport about going through the sketch too.

Even though it turned out to be a false alarm, its nice to see that they prioritize safety.

I am a fire safety director. The guy didn't trigger that alone. His job is to silence to alarm as soon as possible and make an announcement to notify the building on what transpired and where further instructions need to be taken or not.

Why Conan is and has always been the goddamn best.

Two of the worst decisions NBC ever made: Getting rid of Conan O'Brien and Norm Macdonald. Some might argue, probably the worst decisions made in Network history.

You clearly haven't heard about NBC's awful shows in the late 70's/early 80's. Just look up B.J. and The Bear, it's about a trucker who rides around with his pet chimp.

Conan is the champion of the everyman. He wants to show how appreciative he is of all the "little people" who help make his show run effortlessly.

Conan is my favorite and the most hilarious TV host haha "There are onions on the griddle, there are onions on the griddle. I repeat. There are onions on the griddle." imagine if someone said that during an actual fire emergency 🤣🤣🤣🤣

This was gold, Conan is hilarious and the fire safety director is very professional

I remember seeing this back in the day and loving it. Bruce has such a calming voice and manner. I loved the hug. And the mystery odor discussion.

Look at the body language. The fire safety guy, Bruce, is leaning away from Conan at the beginning of the segment. His hands are folded, but his arms are not crossed, so he has not closed himself off but is suffering from stage fright. Then, once they are at the panel, the ice has broken and Bruce has become expansive. Being at the module helped, what with him leaning his arm on it and feeling at home. At the end, when he is on the show he is beaming. Conan has a natural gift for making people feel comfortable and at ease. He also has a gift for taking the conversation to no man's land and having his guests thrilled for the trip. This remote, among others, show why Conan Without Borders was going to be such a smash hit

Every Other Host : Let's edit that part out and never talk about that ever again. CONAN : Let's show that on the show and make a whole segment about it on the next episode so people can realize how superior I'm, even after 20 years.

Audiences are supposed to panick but conan is making them laugh

Dear Team Coco team, I don't know if you read the comments or take request, but I remember a remote where Conan hijacks some kind of tour at universal or something, driving around in a train like car, where at one point he drives said car in a circle, and when the remote ends the audience in the studio start chanting "circle, circle" it's very funny and I'd like to see it again. Thank you.

This is why I like Conan more than the rest of the hosts. His remote segments and shows are great. He put himself in the middle of everything and when things go wrong he just rolls with it instead of editing it out

I honestly love when conan just makes something out of nothing by far the best late night host can make anything funny

I miss that studio. Late Night was Conans golden era. Frankly it was a great time for late night television in general back then. Maybe the world changed. Either way I love watching these old clips.

Unscripted Conan is the best Conan

Much respect for my fellow Fire Safety Director for conducting himself in a professional manner. As for O'Brien, I get it you're a comedian but some things in life you have to take seriously. Those type of announcements were the same made on 9-11 in the World Trade Center. Fire Safety Directors guided thousands to safety that day and were in the building alongside FDNY, PD and EMS when the buildings came down. Once again, respect for my fellow Fire Safety Directors and our fellow first responders.
