@@quchi7232 nah, i'll look it up. i'm not that far down the conan rabbit hole yet because i avoided all talk show content on here for a while. i didn't grow up on american talk shows so no real point to watch them i thought. that is until i realised conan was a writer during the golden age of the simpsons.

Shadow Heart NBC currently has the tonight show with jimmy fallon and late night with seth meyers; the tonight show is a major leader in the ratings, or at least it was the last time i checked. i think seth does very well too, especially considering the amount of other talk shows there are out there. i don’t live in the US so i don’t have NBC but talk shows are kind of my niche interest lol

Security folks deal with smartass clowns all day - so yeah they tend to be a bit wooden with this kind of silly humor. Guy was a good sport, just out of his element. He could have easily pawned the skit off onto one of his staff but was cool with it.

Video quality from the camera has been great for 60+ years. Storage not so much. The old video look comes from tapes degrading over time especially VHS which gets worse after every playback. And also TV's back then weren't great, so the quality that was actually broadcast wasn't great back then. You can go back an digitize the data from the big tapes that were stored properly and get some amazing looking footage from all the way back to the 50's. Movies from the early 60's if the tapes survived well enough look fantastic. Also the old analog straight to tape cameras sometimes had way better quality than a mid class digital pro camera (that costs tens of thousands) these days, especially when you add compression, since sure a digital camera can get great footage but it'll be a gigabyte a second or something like that, so you compress it down and loose a lot of quality depending how much you do it. Then you upload to youtube and that compresses even more, otherwise they'd have to fill every hard drive on the planet to keep youtube going.

If you search for Late Night or Conan "fan accounts" they are versions that are rips from VHS, I got a couple recommended to me and the video quality is significantly lower.

IDK why, and I enjoyed so many clips of him in LA, but Conan and NYC feel like a natural fit. I love the old clips of him going around 30 Rock.

You should look at conan25.com. NBC agreed to release all Conan content where some of the remotes are being displayed at this official website.

Conan was always my favorite. The ability to make me laugh so hard, I cry! Can’t believe I’m just getting into his podcast this past week. Dana and David’s as well.
