Great video, I always look forward to the next one. On the compression test I always thought the throttle should be wide open during the test. It would like to see if there is any difference with the throttle body removed.

Could be a large number of things, best advice i could give is fit a boost gauge, probably £30-40 and will tell you if you have a problem or not. easy as that 👍

First thing I would do is run a scan for codes. A diagnostic reader/vcds can point you in the right direction. As well as the fault codes you can look at the live data to see if any of the values are too far from what they should be. As Dom says a boost gauge is handy to check the actual boost pressure. On my car, like most TT's there were multiple leaks in the vacuum lines/pcv system causing the boost leaks. Made a cheap smoke tester to find out where the leaks were coming from, changed the pipework and it runs much better now. Also changed the spark plugs and coil packs as the coils are a weak point.
