Cool stuff. The accordion cards really seem to have a lot of potential for creative designers.

I think so too, N20 Games! I failed to mention in the video but I think they could work well as a board space too. 😁

Thank you for showing off all these components and sharing your ideas for mint tin games. I'm working on a design now that uses the accordion cards to good affect. Can't wait to show it off!

@@benjaminmoy2669 I like the component break downs. They are helpful for trying to decide what to use in a game, and they often inspire new design ideas. I also really enjoyed your "designing" a game series. I think you should do another one some time.

It so is, Roxioxx, and you are so welcome! Glad the videos are useful to you, and after Glyph Dice Adventures came in I’ve been bit by the mint tin bug too. 🐞

This is GREAT! I've been toying with the idea of a mint tin game for a few weeks, but size constraints are a bear to get around. Is there a chart somewhere to see how many cards/punchouts/acordians can fit in there with dice/meeples? We'd be fine with the dice initially coming outside the tin, so long as they fit in there after the punchouts are punched.

The mint tin can hold 55 cards worth of thickness (source: mint tin product page). If you can put your other parts in terms of cards, You can get a good guess at what will fit. A two page document counts as 9 cards thickness. A 16mm die counts as "about" 42 cards' thickness. There is also a feature in the game crafter that will alert you if they think your components won't fit in your box - although I do know at least two people that manage to squeeze a little more into the mint tin then the game crafter thought they could 😉

@@onederfulgames6604 Good to know, thanks! If a 16mm die is about 42 cards, safe to assume 8mm scale (doe, cubes, minimeeples) would "count" for about 21 then?

Looks like Onederful Games already took care of you, GodlyRecon, but if you would like to see more components being fit inside, guest designer Scot Eaton went over some of the maximum capacities in this video; The connection wasn’t great for the audio so you might want to turn it down before watching and adjust accordingly: 😅 kzread.info/dash/bejne/gaeKyddmo8rNmLw.html

Hi David, Change is inevitable. You know, there were people who liked The Game Crafter 1.0 version of the site in 2009 and didn't want us to change in 2011! However, we have to keep up with the latest technology and provide new features/options that game designers require. Change isn't always fun and it often requires learning new things, but we built the new game editor/site based on tons of community feedback. If you have questions about the new stuff, we encourage you to watch our tutorial videos at kzread.info/head/PLKVKd4HlOVD-3kKzJYvjQRxv5iMWs1Mxq. And if you still have questions, you can join our chat channel (bottom right corner of our website) or email our support team. We're always happy to help. Have a great day!
