Interesting idea. All plastic is a bit of a concern but it's not like it's single use. Agree about parts getting scuffed inside though. How sturdy are they against crushing?
I'd be worried about the plastic ridges inside scuffing the edges of the cards as they bounce around.plus, I'm not into having all plastic packaging. 👎
I love it! Affordable and eye-catching!
Cool!!
Nice idea 💡 👌
Affordable solution and practical for demos/prototypes. If it’s low overhead, that’s a good addition to your mix.

So far we would love to use the game crafter for our board games we are currently designing, just can't seem to find the warriors, are you guys done making them?
We never made these. They were from a supplier that no longer makes them. However, we do have other minis that might suit your needs.

This is amazing, we would love to use the game crafter once our game is finished!
Good tutorial. These boards bring many new possibilities.
Thank you, super useful video
1:00 Don't actually remove the text, just make the layer invisible, so you can check it as needed. :) Delete the layer when you're done!
According to the website, if I add this to my game, there's going to be 270 stickers included, am I seeing that right? I'm designing a few games that would include 4 indented dice. I was only thinking of including 2 of these sheets (30 stickers), one for the dice, and a backup in case any stickers fall off. Do I really need to include 270 stickers?
There are 18 slugs of 15 stickers per slug. You pay for the whole sheet regardless, but only slugs that have printing on them will be included in the final game so not to confuse your customers.
Oh, what a masterpiece! I'm in love with this white/black!
Yep, we know how you feel. They are stunning. :)
Hello, can you randomize a specific/rare card to be placed in a specific deck. For example If I wanted to create a booster pack but want a specific "rare" card to be included for every 20 orders of that same pack is there a way to do that. Thanks for your time!
No
@@TheGameCrafter I saw a work around on another video. Thanks for the reply 😀
Can you selectively render without a row for each layer? ie: if I have 5 colors for types of cards. and i have a row in the data set for "color" can I have red in the box and it knows only to render the red layer? or blue and it only render the blue layer? ect... this way i dont need to have 5 rows in the data set (one for each color), I can just have one row?
Yes.
@@TheGameCrafter I'm sorry. Did I miss that in this video or is there another one that shows that.

So does it refer to having the same sized shape on the back to use thing more uniformly?
Yes.
@TheGameCrafter ok awesome yo!
I like this, is just that if you're producing a TCG, you can't have a booster pack with one foil card
I'm trying to upload a TTF font with four styles in one file (as is standard) - normal, bold, oblique, and bold oblique - but it seems no matter what options I set on uploading or what settings I mess with afterward, the upload only ever sees and uses the normal variant in the file. It's as if the Component Studio uploader is expecting, and only knows how to handle, font files with just one style in them (hence why it asks what it is on upload), implying a full font family would need its variants separated out into individual files... which no font maker does anymore, and notably there don't seem to be any solutions (within or without Component Studio) for taking such a TTF file and breaking it out into its component styles in separate files - this is just a thing that doesn't exist [I'd be happy to be proved wrong here - it'd give me a workaround, albeit a sloppy one I shouldn't have to resort to]. With no apparent means of telling the uploader to use every style in the file I'm giving it, I'm stymied in my process. This _should_ be automatic: it's fine if Component Studio wants each style to be its own line item in the Font Palette, but when I upload the font file, it should be seeing all four variants present and making all four such lines itself.
It's certainly something we could look at addressing in the future, but it yes right now it's 1 file 1 style. All the major font suppliers provide fonts this way (Adobe, Google, DaFont, etc).
Is it possible to have foil and non-foil cards in a tcg booster pack?
yes.
This is very cool, I would like to check out your guys website. Keep it up!
Huza! You guys just keep getting better!
Why does the packs only have print on the front instead of wrapping round the whole pack??
Is the fedora removable?
No
In the smaller box, what is the card limit if you only need to add a few chits?
128
I was really hoping you would show gameplay for Village in a Box.

Your template doesn't specify which sides are top, bottom inside or outside?
WOO HOO!
We have to be honest. TGC's rule books are (nearly) functional if you just want a prototype. But calling them high-quality is false advertising. As seen in the video, the large books don't lie flat. And, bizarrely, the small books are stapled with only a single staple, so they rip almost immediately. Given how long it takes to create a good rule book, I think the game designer should be warned ahead of time, to know just how subpar TGC's rule books are, especially the "saddle-stitched" ones (which are actually stapled, not stitched). One final piece: If your game is stored in a warmer climate, the ink may adhere to the opposing page, causing it to rip off when reopened.
Please note that in the printing world, "saddle-stitch" refers to a method in which folded sheets are gathered together (one inside the other) and then stapled through the fold line with wire staples. It does not refer to stitching with thread. Unless you're using a coil-bound book, any type of book or booklet is unlikely to lie flat when opened (especially when new), unless it's been bent against the fold. We've never heard from customers that ink adheres pages together in booklets. If this is happening, my guess would be that there was some sort of moisture/liquid between the pages before the booklet was closed and stored. If you're having an issue with a booklet, please contact customer support with your order number, and we'll be happy to help.

There is always that guy that feels like arguing with the Supreme Court or other experts because he thinks it makes him look smart. It is so tiresome.
Best. Box. Ever.
dammit. I was going to order a deck of cards, and then wait for one card delivered each week. By the end of the year, I would have enough boxes to build a fort! dammit@! I hate pillows!
0:48 exactly what I need. Wanted to print a game with a rulebook, some dice and a Playmat.

Awesome April's Fool! :D
Glad you enjoyed it!

I bought some cards off of you guys I can’t wait to see them I’m thinking about making a game with you guys a card game 😊
Awesome! Thanks for supporting indie game designers and our team. We have a step by step guide on how to make a card game on our site at thegamecrafter.com/start

Does this work with the roll-up game board? I.e. can I get a single piece of toilet paper each day?
Yep, this would work with our custom printed game rolls. :)

So, I'm getting errors for both the images and SVG file when trying to upload to the gamecrafter. The images have an error: back_id must be 2475x3150, but is 2550x3300. Please choose another file. For the SVG file, the error is: SVG aspect ratio is off
The error messages have told you how to fix the problem. If you need help, then reach out to [email protected].
@@TheGameCrafter Thanks. I was able to figure it out. It was difficult to adjust the exact pixel length, but a bit of ratio math and it was good.
Can you explainable how many of each card type would fit in the different inserts? Like is it 40 cards or 50? That is pretty important to know I think
All of them seem great for certain uses, A seems like a good first choice to me, because poker cards and some small components are just so common in small games. I like the sturdy look of C&D but from the video I imagine it to be kinda hard to get the cards out of the insert, if it really is a full deck. Maybe some notches to get your fingers in or a ribbon akin to the Tarot Inserts? I know that would increase cost, but to me inserts are quality of life/ease of use and might as well not be used if they are kinda frustrating to get components from. Again, this is just guesswork from the video without even seeing a deck of cards inside (can't judge how snug the wells are), so correct me if I am wrong.
Still in shop?
