    Why is the natural thing to do when starting your atvs for the first time to feel to make sure air is coming out🤣 I'm glad I'm not the only one that does it🤣

    Running 1017 spring , 3X13g and 3x15g weights on my 650Xmr with 26” trail tires, it’s bang on 8100 FSO and 8500 over rev. Will probably try your calibration if I ever decide to go back to mud tires but so far, will all that crazy wheel speed, it does perfectly fine in the skeg with those 26s lol😂 also have a dalton yel/blk spring. Wonder if the EPI white is better?

    For 26” the most I would go for a secondary spring is epi silver .

    The white spring would probably be too aggressive for the 26” tires.

    @@LetDirtFly sorry, I meant if going with white epi would be better with mud tires instead of the dalton spring mention previously.

    Would you have the part number for the white epi spring? I have ordered 3 spring now that are not for my machine. 2018 outlander 650 xmr

    Loved the video as always, thanks for the great tips. There aren’t a lot of videos on tuning a CVTECH clutch on a 650. I’m running a 1017 spring with 11g weights on my 650 xmr with a Red EPI secondary spring. Rolling on 31.5” Havocs. Any advice to make it better. My shift out is around 8000 rpm but drops to about 7600 rolling out. Also that set up you have on your 850 with the waterproof case is amazing. If you want to make some new content please make a video of what you purchased and how to attach it to the machine. I can’t find anyone with that content and everyone is changing over to those box’s now as the only true water tight option. Thanks as always for the great content, you’re killing it.

    Try the white epi for the secondary, and the box is from harbor freight. Believe it was $99

    @@LetDirtFly thanks for the advice, I’ll try that. Just out of curiosity did you end up changing the spring to the 1017 or stay with the 1012?

    I have the HMF titan XL on my 2018 650 xmr and i love it. Also was wondering if you could give me me any advice on what clutch to get? I do mostly trail riding. I plan on putting on 30’ crypids on. Thank you in advance!

    There’s only one clutch we recommend for the 650 and that’s a cvtech. Other clutches are too heavy and don’t work as well on the 650. You can purchase one through OnKill Powersports. You’ll need a tune to accompany the Clutch to raise your rev limiter. These 650s make peak power at 8k RPM but revlimiter is set to 8k from the factory. A tune from someone like Mr.RPM or RVS will raise the rev limiter as well as help control the temps of the quad.

    Oh god no. It pulls so much harder in the trail and mud now. It’s a night and day difference. You can even hear the difference. I actually had to hang onto the quad with everything done.

  • @hammerheartdan6311

    @hammerheartdan6311

    It’s a night and day difference with the CVTech and tune, stock clutching you’re limited to about 7300rpm full shift out while the CVTech allows 1000+ more RPM so you’re actually hitting peak horsepower on these 650 which is 8000rpm.
